I was reading this book while in Japan, and maybe that somehow made it more interesting than it would have been otherwise. About 80% through and it is just absolutely tedious. All the men who go to these hostess clubs are the same, the conversation is the same boring, dry, dull crap, page after page. The author is avoiding something, dancing around some emotion she has about this experience and not being as brutally honest as she could be. I know she is documenting her life as a hostess, but I think I probably could have skipped the entire midsection of the book and gotten the same general feeling about this one due
