FANNNNNGGGGG! So, I loved Fang in this book but then when he kissed that girl and Max saw I was like "HOW COULD YOU?!?!??!"

LOL, sorry, just had to get that out.

Let's talk about the book in no specific order!!!

- Iggy on the cover=HAWT!
- Fang and Max=HELL YEAHZ!
- Isn't it obvious that Nudge likes Fang
- These fakes names of theirs. XD Captain Terror all the way.
- Starting to dislike Angel.
- Remember when Iggy was crying? Didn't you feel so bad?!!?! I felt so bad for Iggy, I just wanted to
hug him...more

One of my favourites! I absolutely loved this part in the series and to see it transformed into pictures and text makes the story so much more realistic to me... Because who wouldn't want a world with 98% human and 2% avian mutants to be real?? No joke, I think it would be so cool for that to happen... Aaaaand, I've now realized that I'm rambling on again like I normally do so going to end it by saying that I'm once again thoroughly impressed with this manga series :)
I love these books and was immensely happy when I found out they were going to be adapted into graphic novels.

NaRae Lee does and absolutely fantastic job!!! The drawings a perfect, it captures the emotion well, and you can see the uniqueness in each of the characters.

The only thing that really go to me though was during the swimming scene when Gazzy almost landed on Nudge and when Angel was asking about fish. They were wearing swimsuits...and you couldn't see their wings. Their wings don't just...more

This was pretty amazing.

First off, the cover. All bask in Iggy's glory. He is perfect.

Then we have the graphics within. Very nice. Fang looks like a girl as usual, but some things can't be helped.

For the most part they stuck to the important scenes, which was good, but I do wish they had included some more of the minor scenes. I get why they didn't, but those small, seemingly insignificant scenes have important character development too.

As far as graphic novels go, this was a good one. It was ba...more
GREAT MANGA BOOK! the manga was very good i love this whole series!!!!! i read the first and thrid book and all i have to say is impressive, all im waiting for is to read the second book. this story is about these human bird creatures and how they were adopted my this mad scienctist who turned them into birds. throughout the whole story, the main characters (i apoligize for forgeting their names)are trying to find their real parents. unfortunantly these bug were wolf dog creatures are trying to...more

4 sparkly stars because this followed the freaking plot like exactly.

So exactly that I have some advice for the readers and to-be-readers and that will pretty much be all that my review is.

1. This manga is beautiful and should be made into an anime. Who cares if it's not Japanese, Avatar (The Last Airbender) did was sparkly spanking amazing job so for an Asian obsessed with traditional anime, I accept the capabilities of anime produced in the US--

I must say, Fang looks even smexier than the first two!
The details are amazing, and Narae has the flock down to a science! I can't say much else about this book, becasue it's just too amazing for words.
Although, the Red-Haired Wonder does look like a total s***. (I don't cuss.)
But, it was an amazing book and I loved it!
it wuzzz amazing!!!!!

Maximum Ride Vol.3
By: Ronaldo Huerta

The heros are heading to Washington D.C. The genre of this book is science fiction. I think this book out of the series is alright.

The main characters in this story is Fang, Max, Gasman, and Iggy. Max is the oldest if the "flock", she is like a mother to Angel and Nudge. Fang is the second oldest he's emo and is like an older brother to Iggy and Gasman. Iggy is the next oldest, he's blind but that does get in the way of doing amazing thing that blind people c...more
In Maximum Ride, volume 3 the flock actually have a chance at being normal kids, they go to school, get homework, make non-avian-genetically enhanced friends, and get detention. Someone needs to tell Iggy and Gazzy that bombs (even stink bombs) are frowned upon in school. Of course Max is keeping a wary eye on their newly acquired federal agent guardian because she's learned time and again that you can't trust strangers and she's also having a harder time than the rest of the group adjusting to...more
This review is for this volume as an individual, not the series over all. You can read my reviews of the first and second volumes to gain an over all feel. This review will contain only mild spoilers for the events within volume three, but the spoilers for the earlier volumes may be large. You have been warned.

Maximum Ride is the story of six teens/kids (ages ranging from 6 through to 14) with a scientifically created mutation - they have wings and can fly. On the run from the half human half wo...more
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it!!
**Checked out from the high school library

Okay remember I find reviewing these graphic novels/manga more difficult to do without giving away things in the book. This series rocks and I can’t wait to get the actual books and read them too!! These are quicker to read than a book, so I can get through them much more quickly.

Well since the blurb already tells you, the flock moves to D.C. They meet a new friend where they find a home and go to a real s...more

This book Maximum ride is a thrilling adventure book and mysterious book. I liked this book bacause their is a secret behind maximums life and I can't wait to find out what it is in the 4th book. What I also liked about the book is that it is written just like a comic book so if you like to read books with pictures in it to see what they are doing or you like comic books than this is a great book for you.I think the author wrot this book about a girl who likes mystery. Maximum Ride is a girl with...more
Max is a great heroine; she questions her role and reacts truthfully. How much time passed between book 2 and 3 of the graphic novel?-since everyone's hair grew quickly. Fang's wings are so is he. I love his bangs and clothes :) Flying Erasers, really? As in, still, they're not villainy enough. They didn't even kill anyone, just hurt them. Of course going in a human hospital would expose the bird kids. I like the girl's fake names like Ariel and Krystal. Nudge talks WAY too much-as m...more

Recommends it for: YA Action-Adventure, Graphic Novel
Waiting for my car, Mi estrella brillante, to get fixed I tripped to B & N to try to spend the gift card I'd received a few months ago. Many of my scholars have been into this teen "Mutation" series. First, I was amazed that the semi-hack James Patterson had changed gears and produced these six novels about flying humans and wolf-teens. Secondly, Max is FEMALE, something none of her followers had ever mentioned when talking or writing about her.

I started the first novel and thought, "I can...more

(4/5) The flock go to a safe house in a rural area. They're also enrolled in school. My favourite setting of the volumes so far (including the later two), because it was more interesting seeing the flock in a "permanent" setting than them moving around all the time.

(5/5) After Fang is injured in the first book, the flock admit him into the hospital. They are met by the FBI there who have heard rumors about them. One of...more
I skipped the second one of the book because I didn't really enjoy the second book of Maximum Ride. I choose the third on to read because I love when they go to school, the scene that it describes in the book and even the graphic novel touches on this, how something everyone does they've never done. But at the same time it says their nervous of school, which also shows that their still part human, they still have these feelings that everyone does. Now that things have calmed down in the book and...more
I enjoy read this book. I was so excited to see the characters again. the joke are still funny and more with picture in it. I love the whole Max and Fang toward the end - I just laugh so hard a this. I have the next two book and can not wait to them too but that have to wait because right now is Booktube -A- Thon!! Challenge one compete!!! :) I think I'll talk about it later in my video update/challenge.
**spoiler alert** 22nd Review) I finally read the third book!I thought it was (at least) just as great as the first two, if not, then it was better! Max, the main character, and the flock has arrived in D.C. where they were in search for their parents. They run into the Erasers, which are mutant (humans/wolves) hybrids. The flock gets hurt and a stranger calls 911. The next scene is in the hospital, where they treat "Nick" who is actually Fang.

I don't want to get into detail about this, so I'll...more

In this book after Max and her friends are trying to find the locations on the papers from the second book. Then they get attacked by a group of Erasers which have a new ability. This new ability is they have wings too. They were injected with bird D.N.A which mixed with the wolf D.N.A and creates a mutant hybrid. The only down side to this experiment was the erasers were also very slow because of their weight is more then Max and her friends out flew them but one of the erasers had cut her frie...more

I think that the Maximum Ride Manga series is REALLY awesome and that i recommend it to anyone who likes comics, fiction, mystery, and adventure books. I also would like to own all of the books and I would like to tell the author that he is very creative and very awesome.
This had me laughing out loud (yes, I'm the weird person who smiles at books when I'm alone in a room)...

This series keeps getting better and better with each volume. The artwork i perfect in my opinion, I love how it looks, and the story is well thought out. I like the characters and I cannot wait for the next volume!
Nidah (SleepDreamWrite)
Story getting interesting and it seems Max has more to deal with than she and the gang thought. And of course, I love the artwork, its just drawn so good and the covers are also really good.
I picked up the Maximum Ride series knowing nothing about it and I am so glad that I did. Maximum Ride Vol. 3 was a great read overall. A bit slower than the first two and a bit more relaxed overall but at the same time it just leaves you with so many questions. I cannot wait to dive right into Vol. 4.

The flock is settling in at Anne's farm in the country, Max's shaking is getting worse, the Erasors are still after them and Angel's powers are being the grow and expand at a frightening rate. Anne decides that it's now time for the flock to start school, but they aren't sure this such a good idea. Will they keep avoiding the Erasors? Will the voice in Max's head continue? Will Jeb find them again? What is their purpose?
This one was nice b/c it concluded a few things in the plot. They also seeme...more

I chose this book because it was the third book in the series and i wanted to continue the series. The book is about how the flock is interviewed by the C.I.A., in the first part of the book and one of them, Anne, is going to take care of them. Anne has also enrolled the flock into school. My favorite quote was when Iggy said, "... I just cant take this anymore! I need some answers! Iggy said this when he was trying to find his parents and it is my favorite quote he said this but never gave up....more
I read the book Maximum Ride Volume 3. This book is a graphic novel. The main character of the book is Maximum Ride. A conflict is that they need to stay away from the eraser they are like werewolfs. Setting is school. They are like Humans with angel wings. They can fly around. They take trips to keep moving because they are getting hunted by lots of people.

I really like because it's really action pack becase they have to stay away from the earasers and if they get caught they'll get killed. I r...more
