Loved it! This is the second in the series, but it could easily be read as a stand alone (enough back story is given.) This is a simple and very romantic story of a young Irish woman, Brianna, who runs her own B&B in a remote area of Ireland. In the dead of winter, she takes on an extended guest -- a famous author, Grayson, who plans to stay a few months and write his next novel. He quickly becomes enchanted by her and involved in the lives of those in the village. It was such a beautifu...more

After finishing the last book in the "Born In.." series I felt like I was saying goodbye to long lost friends. This rarely happens for me because I read so much, but Nora introduced me to the best of people and the best of traditions. I may not read for a couple of days and those who know me will be shocked because I am rarely seen without a book in my hand or a book on the fireplace calling my name. I feel I should mourn the loss of never again getting to read for the first time this ...more

this trilogy is my fave in the cheesy romance novels department... i read it in anticipation of my own trip to west ireland and it got me all geared up! i love how each book involves a different sister, but still keeps the others in the story too!

This was a good book, I enjoyed it. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. I just needed a happy little romance, and this was it. Now on to the third book in the trilogy (Born in Shame). Never read the first one.

This is my favorite of this series. One of her better love stories.

Brianna and the American writer Gray- yum! I didn't expect to like this story so much, as Brianna had seemed a little on the doormat side of personalities in the previous book, but I was surprised and enjoyed the descriptions of life running a B&B. And Gray was delicious. He had the money but not the same airy command of Rogan, which made me like him more and his background was great. I was rooting for these two ;)

I was looking for a light, quick read, and this met my expectations. It's a romance set in Ireland between a B&B owner and a writer, and both main characters were well-developed and likeable. I enjoyed the little details about running a B&B and the homey-ness of Brie, and I think the book should have included some of her recipes (the descriptions of her food made me hungry!)

In the beginning before reading I thought I was going to be let down because I was really looking forward to knowing what happend after the ending of the 1st. However it played nicely into Born in Ice and started into the look of the other child who seemed to have the better outlook on life and peacekeeping.

A change in heroine means a change in tone, but I wouldn't have expected cookie-cutter romances from Roberts. An easy, entertaining read, particularly when Roberts begins to describe our hero, an author, and the process of writing a novel. I always find that sort of sly meta commentary entertaining.

This is one of those rare instances where I like the second book in a trilogy best of the three. Gray Thane is a fantastic character, if cut in the typical Roberts mold of being a good man with a tragic and troublesome past.

Now let's focus on the sister. She's got a bed and breakfast, and an American author comes to stay. Perhaps they'll fall in love and he'll stay forever. Yes, I do mock these books a bit, they're a bit cheesy, but I like cheese.

I liked this one better than Born in Fire. It has more mystery and charachter development. Nice tie in to the first book. Now I'm reading the final instalment to the Trilogy.

I liked this trilogy from Nora Roberts, the charachters were fun, and it was a good read. Recommend getting all 3 books together and just making a reading weekend out of them!

This book is quite entertaining and Nora Roberts has the magical ability to make you feel like you are in Ireland, right next to the characters as their lives unfold.

Book #2 in the series is about sister number two, the "good one." Not high quality literature or anything but just as entertaining as the first.

This is book two of a trilogy. So far, I really like it and it has some twists that I wasn't expecting. I can't wait to see where it ends up.
