This is actually about a book and the strange way it affected the lives of the people in possession of it. The story takes place in England and starts at the time of World War I and follows with later family members. I found it quite interesting.

Loved this. Oblique, compelling storytelling; convincing period evocation; fascinating characterisation and lovely prose. A favourite!

Still not sure how much I liked this book. There was a sadness throughout this book but I never felt I understood Alice or her actions.

A bit slow. Nothing substantial enough to my teeth around but I stuck with it anyway. Perhaps a nice holiday read.

Erg mooi boek, je moet zelf erg actief lezen, het is geen boek voor even snel een hoofdstukje voor het slapengaan.
