When I read this book I learned that Junie B. Jones likes to get her way. When Lucille was figuring out a way to beg her rich nana for a poodle, Junie B. decided that her and Grace should spend the night so they can help her beg her nana. But later on in the book when Lucille told them to start begging Junie B. didn't actually want to do that part she only wanted to spend the night. AS they were eating dinner, Junie B. constantly spilled every refreshment that was given to her. this made Lucille More...

Popular Series

The Junie B. Jones books are a popular one with young readers and have been for a very long time. After reading Junie B. Jones Is a Party Animal it is easy to see why this is the case. The book is written in improper grammar that mirrors with accuracy how most early independent readers speak. For this reason I think the book is an appropriate independent read, but I'm not sure that it should be read aloud in class. It is important that academic language be used in th More...

well i have to give all my respect for Junie B. Jones to her in this book because i can fully relate to her. me and her both have a problem with clumsyness. i can never be handed a chrystal glass cup or a glass bowl or plate witout dropping or spilling it or getting something on my shirt. i mean you should see me at school im like a napkin after someones ad an all meat dinner. but, to stay a whole night in someone else's house that is completely rich, and giving you items that cost a fortune, th More...

Junie B. Jones Is a Party Animal, written by Barbara Park. In this adventure we find Junie sleeping over at a friend’s house. In the beginning they have a great time. They played dress up, sand and danced. Finally they get into a pillow fight and the pillow opens up with feathers falling from everywhere. Nanna opens the door and comes in to find feathers everywhere and sends the kids to bed without another peep. Of course the kids start to “peep” and Nanna once again comes in the room but this t More...

Junie B. and That Grace go to Lucille's rich house for a sleepover. Nanna takes care of them, and Junie B. learns it is not much fun to live in a rich house because she breaks thing. One thing I thought was weird is the book mentions the existence of Lucille's mother, father, and brother, but they never make an appearance. Are we to presume they are in Hawaii on vacation?

This is the only book so far that doesn't really teach a lesson. Unless you count, "It is no fun to have More...

Junie B Jones Is a Party Animal is a great starter chapter book for any child. I think boys and girls would really get a kick out of these chapter books. The language used throughout this book is funny, especially to children. The character in this book is a child and she does silly things that children could possibley easily relate to. The text is large enough so readers will not get lost, and they will love the occasional black and white pictures.

It is a happy experience to read through another adventure in the life of the energetic, fresh, and very fun Junie B. Jones! Her unique brand of humor and way of looking at life is sort of like an anti-serum to the overly serious ways of adults, and for that reason alone, I greatly enjoyed the book.
Look closely, though, and you'll find more in this volume than perfectly timed humor. Barbara Park has introduced some good lessons, as well, lessons that are timely and instructive without ev More...

I thought that this book would be a great started chapter book for a child who is wanting to learn more and more. I saw both boys and girls in the third grade class that i was in reading this book so i figured that it must be a good book. There was a lot of humor in the text so i think that this helped to bring the students in. Also there were some illustrations in the book to break up the text.

Junie B. Jones is fun. She's loud and impetuous, and she misunderstands a great deal, but she has a generous heart and anyway, what do you expect from a series book kindergartner?

In this book Junie B., along with her friend Grace, gets to spend the night with their friend Lucille at Lucille's richie Nanna's house. It's her dream come true, but hardly anything goes the way Junie B. expects it to.

Most kids will like these books. 1st or 2nd grade reader

This is one of my favorite Junie B. Jones books because they are so funny. They didnt obey nana but jumping on the bed must be pretty fun!! And the glass and make sure you never sit on Lucille's bed or touch becasue it is just for looks! And they were not supposed to make a peep and guess what they did they made a peep and the nana got frustrated. Lucille wanted a poodle but nana was alergic to dogs. Who wants to be alergic to dogs, not me by the way!

BY FAR my fav. Junie B. book! I have read them all, but this tops them all! This is the book I read when I'm in the mood to be girly. I can read it in a few minutes flat since I have it memorized... but it never gets old! This plot line is pretty much my IDEAL slumber party! Fancy house, toys, dress up, stuffed animals, pillow fights, and of course, OBSESSIVE GIGGLING! (you'll get that once you've read the book!) Great for any girl!

My daughter enjoys me reading these books to her. I have read on Goodreads that many people don't like her, but I think Junie B. Jones captures the honesty and enthusiasm of childhood. Junie B. doesn't mean to be bad - she just speaks her heart and is often misunderstood. My daughter's eyes get big when Junie B. does something wrong, but in the end Junie B. always learns her lesson. I like her!

This book is extremely funny and I actuly laughfed a little wich I don't even do with funny books. I love how the auther spelles words wrong and it defenetly sounds like a kindergarten writer. She is coming over to her best friend's house but her best friend is very sensative so she gets mad at Junie B. Jones really fast!

This was our first Junie B. Jones book and the best thing I can say about it is that I only paid $1 for it. I see these books everywhere and thought we would give it a whirl. I found an exceptionally rude character with horrid grammar. This is not the kind of character I want my pliant little girl to read.

Junie B. is spending the night! Lucille is having a sleepover party- at her richie nanna's big giant house! Grace and Junie B. can't wait to see all the rich stuff in that place. Sleeping over at the nanna's is sure to be a dream come true!' Cause what could possibly go wrong?

This was fun, but even though it's about a kindy girl, my 4 year old daughter didn't get into it. I think it's really appealing to adults the way it's written, but I'm wondering if young kids would appreciate and/or relate to the Junie's unique "voice"?

A cute book. My daughter, who is seven, speaks a bit like Junie B. What I liked about the book was the ending - be thankful for what you have. I do have to say that Junie B's grammar got a bit annoying at times.

No other book (or book series) gets into the spirit of a real kindergartner as the Junie B. series. I like children a little bit more every time I read one of these books.
