I wanted to like this one - it's exactly the type of book I like to read. And it's clear that the author can write. But she jumped the shark early on and too often. I almost stopped reading because the main character was too stupid to be believable. After showing a lack of any common sense at all, I stopped caring about her. The only problem I had in the beginning was the compared it to a Janet Evanovich book. I don't think it was like one but I did it enjoy this. The story of a Debutante who is only 23 years old. It show her trying to retrieve her sister and a friend who end up being kidnapped in Mexico. The story had a lot of turns and action. I'm glad I read it.
