Kathryn Spink gives a solid introduction to the phenomenon of Taize by way of a portrait of the monastic community's founding father, Brother Roger. The narrative sometimes becomes bogged down in lists of church officials and places the Brothers of Taize have visited, and Spink's language tends toward the overly reverential at times.
