Lust Money Murder is a story of intrigue that carries Elaine Brogen from Pittsburgh to Washington to Europe as a Secret Service agent hot on the trail of money counterfeiters.

This three part story first takes the reader through Elaine's training and to her first assignment in a small out of the way office in the U.S. where she deals with a none-to-pleasant boss. Then it's off to Europe where she meets the enigmatic Nick. While at the field office in Bulgaria under Nick's watchful eye, Elaine hon...more

The prologue is the BEST hook I've read in a long time! When she goes over the cliff, at the moment of realization, Perfect!

A real screen-flipper! [reading eReader version - not paper copy] ;D

Okay, okay! I'll admit it...the ONLY thing keeping me from reading this book straight through is that I am on the road for two months and computer access is a GD pain in the arse. I'm broadcasting from the Deep South. But if you're wondering...THIS author, Mike Wells, is my first choice right now. ;D

After reading book 1 of Lust, Money & Murder, I was pretty sure book 2 and 3 would be good. Understatement of the year. Who needs Six Flags when you have Mike Wells!! I could probably write pages of how brilliant I think Wells is, but then he may think I'm a crazed fan so I'll keep it short.

Wells writing is quick and to the point. There's no babbling brooke descriptions. It's just how I like it: action, tension, suspense, your eyes can't move fast enough across the page reading.

Really irresistible page turner by novelist Mike Wells, Lust, Money, and Murder is the story of a woman out for revenge against the man who ruined her father and her vow to see him pay takes her on a journey around the world that is neither predictable nor dull in the slightest.

The heroine’s name is Elaine Brogan. She watches in horror as her father is arrested for passing counterfeit money and the man she holds responsible becomes the catalyst for a dive into the world of a Secret Service agent...more

I was blown away by this book. This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster. Reading this book I laughed, I cried, I gasped, and I swore. It has an intricate story full of exciting events, tense situations, sad scenes, funny scenes, twists and turns, and a great ending. The tenacious heroine is likable and you cheer for her as she seeks her revenge.

This book is paced perfectly. It is loaded with action and never slows down. I have found from reading books by Mike Wells that he doesn't wa...more

Wow! I just crossed the finish line … it was an exciting adventure filled with “Lust, Money & Murder” … One book … three action-packed journeys … with Mike Wells at the helm …

As a young girl, Elaine Brogan had no idea what lay ahead for her; nor did she know that – as a teenager – when she stepped out and away from the norm, the countdown to a dangerous reckoning had begun. And from that day on, her life would never be the same. Her anger at her father’s unjust treatment by the justice syste...more

This book was really good. It definitely kept me interested. Which is saying a lot because between my kids, writing and Husband, I never have time to myself and when I do I certainly don't want to waste it. This book is the first in a series, but is totally worth it. I am going to order the next, because I am dying to know what is happening. It is well researched for the subject matter. I don't know a lot about counterfeiting but the author sure sounded like he did. I am still unsure about what...more

I got a copy of Lust, Money, & Murder Book 1 for free. It was amazing and I tore through it anxious to see what happened next. To have it end in a cliffhanger was awful! So save yourself the suspense and just get the whole trilogy. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

This book was awesome! Not often can a story like this keep me guessing. There were sufficient beautifully played plot twists that I didn't see the end coming. Mike also wrote wonderfully fabulous characters...several I'd like to s...more

Mike Wells’ “Lust, Money & Murder” is a good book in three parts. The first one is free, while the last two are affordable and worth the money. The thriller novel chronicles the travails of Elaine Brogan as she overcomes a difficult childhood to join the Secret Service and become one of its top counterfeit currency forensics investigators. Buffeted by job difficulties, torn by office romance, and caught up in a web of counterfeiting intrigue and espionage, Brogan faces danger and life-or-dea...more

I started this series downloading the first book for free. When I finished I was so hooked I had to buy book two and three. This is not my usual genre that I read but sometimes you need to mix it up and I'm glad I chose this one. Here is what I liked: 1) I was continually left guessing what was going to happen next, trying to find relationships between characters and their stories. There was very little predictability. 2) I do not like an over abundance of details just to fill pages. These books...more

What a great find!!! I wasn't thinking I would like this as much as I did... There are key words that usually make me NOT want to read a book, like counterfeit or Secret Service but in this case I'm so glad I did. There was so much more to them than just those two things. Plus it had an ending that I was not expecting and several times I actually gasp out loud!!! The author did such a great job keeping your interest and there were plenty of "oh my" throughout the whole series.

LUST, MONEY and MURDER plunges the reader into the life of Elaine Brogan and never comes back up for air. This strong female protagonist is hit from every direction, and the entire story I was holding my breath wondering what would happen next. Packed with nail-biting suspense, intense action scenes, and exotic settings, Mike Wells’ LUST, MONEY, and MURDER is a must read.

Although I wasn't late getting my daughter to / from school to read these three books they were a great read and very engaging. Only the wrong number dialer who woke my husband at 1am got me to put the book down and realize I needed some sleep before work the next morning - or later that morning actually. Can't wait for book 4.

Couldn't put it down, at first. However, the ending was a bit disappointing. I'd like to continue reading the series, however, I felt that the main characters lacked connection. Although, Elaine seems to fall head over heels for her boss Nick (out of nowhere), the two just didn't seem to add up. Somewhere in the middle of the book, it disconnected. The story seemed to lack some substance, but I'm still curious to find out what happens.

I love Elaine's character in this trilogy. She was strong, educated and yet vulnerable. Young and inexperienced, would she go to the dark side? Afterall, all she loved was taken from her. Lust, Money & Murder was an exciting read. I loved the ending. Not at all what I expected.

Loved these books and was hooked from the beginning. Would recommend, only thing I would say is make sure if your travelling on public transport that your stop is the last one otherwise you might miss it.

Can't wait for the next on the series,

Overall the story was okay, at a few points I felt like I had already read this book before. Definitely not a bad read for anyone who likes a good crime suspense story.
Laura Ambrose
Fast-paced and thrilling. I have read the series twice and enjoyed it both times. I'll be looking for more from this author.

I loved all three books of Lust, Money & Murder. After I finished books one and two, I couldn't wait to get to the next book to see what happened to Elaine. Mystery, intrigue, adventure, love, lust, murder, (duh) these books have it all. I highly recommend them.
