A great read with lots of good advice scattered through out the book.
This book resonated with me because the process of setting goals is a new skill I'm developing and realizing the importance of it.
Brian Tracy's writing is not particular seductive or articulate (especially when contrasted with Barbara Sher's Wishcraft) but it gets the job done and its an easy read. There are quite a few strategies that I will try myself. His book is also replete with inspiring quotes from ...more

I'm not a business person. In fact I'm the opposite of that right now -- a stay-at-home mom. I was skeptical of this book when it was recommended to me because I don't need to "double my income" (twice of nothing is still nothing!) After reading it I see that it is a practical resource for readjusting my focus and my attitude. I am interested in regaining purpose in my day-to-day life. This book really helps with that.

This is a book I'm bound to return to again and again, one of my personal seven pillars of wisdom in life. I believe goal-setting works, and this has to be the bible of doing it. So full of good ideas and inspiration for the eager, if maybe susceptible, mind that even writing this makes me want to go and pick it up for another idea. Because I managed to get through most of this sitting by the pool and reflecting on career, I came back with a positive drive to start changing things that I want to...more
This is a great book. Well organized and easy to get through. Brian Tracy comes from a sales background, so if you're in sales, it will especially work for you. If not, it's still worth a look, since the information here applies to anybody who wants to get more accomplished and the goals you set don't have to be anything to do with business.

This is the second Brian Tracy book I have read and he is fast becoming my favourite career advice authors. In this book Tracy discusses the importance of goal setting and what a difference it can make to achieving what it is you want in life.
His advice is clear, concise and easy to follow. There are some moments where it gets slightly repetitive and some areas that I thought could have been slightly cut down but other than that, this is a fantastic book and well worth the read.

Brian Tracy tends to repeat himself an awful lot in this book so I found myself skipping some sections. He also tells you things that are rather obvious...like if you get up and get started...you'll get something done. Well, duh. That said, you do feel inspired just reading some of what you already know and some things because they are presented in a different light. I intend to practice some of his suggestions.
The book seems great at the beginning when he talks about goals
the problem is he insists more on "money" like it's the most important thing
and I feel that the same scenario is repeated in every section of the book

After reading this, I started his habit of writing or reviewing my goals every single day. This simple habit has been life changing.
Not a lot new on the subject, just a lot of cheerleading and motivation to set and work towards goals. The thing that bugs me about all of Brian Tracy's books though: "One Major key to success is to keep buying and listening to Audiobooks like this one [This will keep the wealth rolling in to me for years to come...]"

Great book!
This is a book that really changed my life. I know this is pretty corney to say about a business self-help book, but it allowed me to focus my energies in a particular direction and stop my life-drift. If you just read it, I don't think it will do much for you, but if you really do all the activities and apply yourself, it can really change everything. I set a list of goals for 2007 that I thought was pretty ambitious and I am still on track to make them!
This book was a bit slow to start but very inspiring towards the end.

This book is so dense in wonderful advice for achieving your goals. It is not a light read. It requires a lot of personal inventory, and a lot of soul searching. I started reading it for my Pampered Chef business, and I think ultimately, from what I've learned about myself, I may be putting PC on the back burner. Read it only if you are very serious about achieving goals. I actually haven't finished it...I just had to step away for a while.
This book will help you focus on what your top priorities in life are and help keep you there. Too many people wander aimlessly through life with no clear idea of where they want to end up. Tracy is great a shaking the apathy out of a person. I don't agree with everything written here, but this book is one of the best of its kind.

Very motivational, some good goal-setting techniques such as:
1. Write down your top 10 goals and repeat this process for 30 days
2. Pick one goal and think of 20 creatively ways to get you closer to this goal and act on it immediately
Highly recommended.
