The Sound of His Horn:
The setting is during World War II in a German prison camp. Alan Querdilion escapes from the camp and is mysteriously transported into a future where the Allies lost World War II.

The King of the Lake:
Two women lose their way in the Sahara and find themselves in a fairy tale. I found this story vaguely irritating because the main characters ignore expert advice from local desert rats.
