The book “Be Fair” is about a girl who believes it is her dad’s fault that she can’t spend her last year of high school at her old school. I can relate to how she is feeling because about two months ago I was in the same situation. This book is definitely for high school kids. It shows real life issues that teens deal with on a daily basis. Also, it is easy reading for a strugging reader.
Dru was new in the school she meet Troy the first day. Another day she saw troy in the lunch time with one girl. Dru thought the girl was Troy girlfriend. She judging Troy without asking question about that. Dru was wrong because Troy don't have girlfriend.
I read three of these same type of books...only 50 pages long. They have high school characters but are written at a very low reading level. These might be good for some special ed kids: very much high interest, low vocabulary books. Not bad, just average but some kids might like them.
