Liberty Under Attack is a must-read warning for citizens but fails to see the underlying causes of tyranny. It's a series of essays by respected writers who lean to the left politically. They identify real threats to liberty and make valid criticisms which merit our attention.

Clearly the 9/11 attack overwhelmed the Bush administration, and in response to a problem which it didn't fully understand -- terrorism -- government enacted measures which violated the rights of citizens. Generally the pub

I bought this to serve as a complement to Naomi Wolf's End of America. I have only read a little, but so far, it is very good. It's a bit denser than Wolf's book -- but in a good way.

Just when you thought our current situation couldn't get any worse, this book will show you how this is nothing new. "Liberty cabbage" was the WWI version of Freedom Fries. As if going through it now wasn't bad enough; we are repeating it!
