I love browsing through cookbooks, so I always have my eye out for new ones. Ones with pictures and bright colors always are my first choice, so this was a no-brainer. A beautiful book, this shows pictures of all the food, as well as entertaining tips and tablescapes, etc. But this is where my nice review ends. The recipes in this book are ridiculous. I was so looking forward to this book. I adore Southern Living. I enjoy books for hosts and hostesses. I like party food. The cover looks great, and that's about it. The recipes inside were ridiculous. Before reading this book, I would have said it would be impossible to make a lazier cookbook than those Sandra Lee puts out. I was mistaken. Some reviewers don't like this book because it was "too easy". People, the title is 30 minute hostess, not gourmet, got all day hostess. Anyone can find recipes for a party. I really like how this puts them together in a theme. For me, that's the hardest thing. I liked this book and hope to use it often. Beautiful pictures.
