Kerrelyn Sparks never falls to make me laugh, I love this series. Eat Prey Love is the same as all of her books fun and sexy. I was very pleased how Carlos and Caitlyn found each other and the adventure they had together. I loved the emotions between the two lost sisters and I hope to get to read about the brother one day, I don't know about the rest of you but I think he needs a female vampire. It would be nice to see all of the Whelan siblings all together. Maybe that will help dear old dad co ...more

Oh man what a book!

As soon as it was said that Shanna's sister Caitlyn Whelan was going to be in this book I knew that there was going to be excitement and drama. Why? Because Caitlyn was clueless to the Vamp and Shifter life, and her father was bound to be around trying to stir up drama.

I was right!

Caitlyn is invited by Shanna to Tino's birthday party. Caitlyn had no clue that her long lost sister was married or had children. Their father warned Caitlyn to stay away, which only made Caitlyn
Eat, Prey, Love is Book 9 in Kerrelyn Sparks' Love at Stake series. I was told that its ok to skip around in the series and I think I agree. I read the first couple of books, I took a break and then ended up reading this one. I really didn't feel like I was missing anything or confused in any way. Oh and by the way, I enjoyed the book!! LOL!!

In this installment, we meet Caitlyn Whelan. If you've read the first book, you'll remember that we were introduced to this world and to Shanna Whelan. Shan
Yum, werepanther Carlos...

Renewing family ties with her long lost sister, Caitlin discovers there's a whole a hidden world of paranormal beings - and that she is related to a fair number of them including her sister Shanna's children and vamp hubby - when Caitlin meets the gorgeous vamp members of Shanna's extended Romatech 'family'. But while vamps are great to look at, it is the sultry shifter Carlos Pantera who really gets Caitlin's heart pumping and throws her libido into overdrive. Unfortun

She lifted her head, clasped the gun with both hands, and took aim. Bam! She swayed back from the recoil, bumping against Carlos’s chest. He steadied her, holding her against him. The paper man shuddered with a hit.

“You did it!” Phineas ran up to the counter and pushed the button to activate the pulley that would slide the paper target close to them.

“Damn, woman.” Phineas gave her a horrified look. “Remind me never to make you angry.”

Caitlyn gasped as the paper came close enough for her t

Another great novel in the Love at Stake series from author Kerrely Sparks! In Eat Prey Love, Sparks takes you on a thrilling adventure through the Asian jungle wrought with danger, mystery and passion.

Carlos is on the hunt for a mate and he only has one requirement; she must be a were-panther. His race is endangered and he has been traveling across the world to find more of his kind; not just for himself but also for the five orphaned were-panther children that he has taken in.

Book 9 in the Love at Stake series.

I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this story that much, as I wasn’t very interested in Carlos. I always thought he was a great secondary character, but I was concerned he wouldn’t make that great of a hero. Boy was I wrong! And I LOVED his woman, Caitlyn, who is hands down the most stubborn, feisty, and fiery heroine in the Love at Stake series so far! She gave Carlos a run for his money and I loved that. Caitlyn had a hard job ahead of her- she had to prove
I zoomed through this book. This is my favorite of the series so far. Carlos the were-panther is such a hot kitty! Caitlyn is Shanna's long lost sister. They are finally reunited and it is very touching. I hate their father more and more in each book. Carlos fights his attraction to Caitlyn from the get go and sometimes is a total jerk to her . But they made a fantastic couple .

There was so much action in this book I totally loved it. Some super hot lovin . Just when I thought the danger was ove
This was my first book in the series, and I really enjoyed it. It was light, the two characters had some serious chemistry, and I respected both of them, him for his devotion to the children, and her for her open mindedness and strength. She didn't just jump into any scary or dangerous situation, but she didn't shy away either. She also wouldn't stand for any of his "mate" nonsense; she thought he was hot, and he clearly thought she was gorgeous since his eyes glowed each time he looked at her. ...more

***Called people Rascals & Rascally 3 times. A shifter, a person & a tribal leader - "rascal" reminds me too much of Elmer Fudd. It ruins the console.

Lucky thing the story itself was really good. This was a girl chasing her man & getting mad and frustrated because he is being stupid. He is trying to avoid her, and she isn't giving him the chance.

A few new long term characters are introduced & now the series can keep going for another 10 books.

Larger print than normal, and I was
I enjoyed Eat Prey Love. The main character, Caitlyn Whelen has just arrived back into the U.S. after being fired from the U.S Government for interfering with a human's rights issue in a foreign country. This humiliation does not sit well with Caitlyn's father who is the head of a CIA agency hellbent on trying to wipe out vampires from the face of the earth. After checking into a hotel, Caitlyn receives a birthday party invitation from her older sister, Shanna whom she has not had contact with i ...more

Eat Prey Love (Love at Stake, #9) by Kerrelyn SparksEat Prey Love by Kerrelyn Sparks is the 9th installment in the Love at Stakes series. This book features were-panther, Carlos Panterra and mortal younger sister to Shanna Draganesti, Caitlyn. This book picks up immediately after Robby and Olivia's book, The Vampire and the Virgin.

First thought... What do you mean Carlos isn't gay?? That's right, the fun-loving, olive-skinned, gorgeous gay man introduced in Ian and Toni's book, All I Want For Christmas is a Vampire has officially come out of the

Caitlyn hasn’t seen her sister in years and her father is against her seeing her, but when she is invited to her sister Shanna’s child’s birthday she has the need to go, to see her sister again. When she arrives to see her sister, she witnesses Constantine, her sisters son “fly” and when her sister offers Caitlyn a job with the security company owned by a friend of Shanna, Caitlyn is interested as her psychic ability with languages would be a valuable asset to the company but first Shanna must t ...more
I have not read all of the books in the Love at Stakes series. Which is fine as each one can really be read as stand alone novels. Although, I have to say that this book is probably one of my favorites. Instantly I fell for Caitlyn and Carlos. The best part was that Carlos is not a vampire but a were-panter. For a change in a vampire series, it was nice to have a different character type like Carlos. Plus, in a way it made more sense and it was more believable that Caitlyn would fall for Carlos. ...more
I have read all but two of the previous books in this series and still don't know what this series is called. None the less, this installment was about a shifter named Carlos. He has been featured in previous books about the vamps he works with. The female lead is Caitlyn and she is the astranged sister of one of the main characters of the series. So we have no previous history on her. Eat, Prey, Love follows the usual script and has a happy ending with an abundance of humor along the way. The d ...more
What an amazingly fun book! LOVED it!

Riveting, sensual and tantalizing, Eat Prey Love will leave the reader hungry for more by this delightfully talented author!

Never before have I had the extreme pleasure to read a book that so effortlessly blends sensuality, humor, fun and a bit of darkness in such a way that Kerrelyn Sparks does with her newest release, Eat Prey Love. Literally, this book has it all; from a broken family life to vampires and shape-shifters, to laugh-out-loud moments and sizzl
Loved it! I had so much fun reading Eat Prey Love. I find it interesting that I found such a connection with the book about Shanna’s sister, Caitlyn Whelan. There must be something about this family.

I really loved how there really wasn’t pointless moments. The plot moved along and the attraction and love just continued to grow.

The Whelan sisters finally come back into each other lives after many years of having no contact. Can you guess who was behind this? You guessed it, their father, Sean.

First of all, what's with the title? Eat Prey Love? It makes no sense - it has nothing to do with the story, as there is certainly no eating of prey going on, especially not in conjunction with love. I see the connection to the popular novel's title "Eat Pray Love," but ... ANYway ... The two main characters are certainly star-crossed enough for any formulaic romance novel, of course, but as the plot advances lots of plot elements get thrown in - and then thrown out the window ... the author app ...more
I just love this series, I know what to get when I pick up the new book. I can find a lots of crazy, a couple that fights their attraction, and all sorts of meddling vampires and shape shifters.

This book, in a way, takes us full circle, back to the beginning. We meet Shanna's sister Caitlyn, who had lost track of her sister. When they finally meet again Caitlyn is given a crash course in what has changed so much in Shanna's life, to say she is shocked is an understatement. Along with this shock
Another great book.

I loved Carlos in Robby's book and he didn't dissapoint in his own.

Caitlyn may have just popped right up there into my favourite heroines in this series. She was fantastic. I liked that she went against her father's wishes (Whelan) to go and see her sister Shanna. Who it was great to catch up with. She had been invited to Romatech for Tino's 4th birthday party, where a basketball game was under way. It was there that she first laid eyes on the gorgeous Carlos. Ok, so Carlos is this super hot Brazilian were-panther, who everyone assumes is gay and he's got a serious problem. Carlos and a few were-panther children seem to be the last of their kind so he needs to find a mate in order so the species will survive. Working for McKay Investigations gives him the opportunity to search around the world for others just like him. That was fun!!

Have you been stuck in a rut reading only dramatical stuffy romances?

Need something that will improve your mood and get your laughing?

Well, then do I have the book for you!

When I first looked at the cover for "Eat, Prey, Love" I seriously thought it was going to be all dramatic and maybe a bit stuffy but the cover looked hawt enough to read.
(Note: Greta will judge a book but it's cover)

After reading a chapter I came to the realization that it was funny.

Caitlyn has been estranged from her sister for many years and she has never understood why. So despite all her father's warning to stay away from her sister, when Caitlyn gets an invitation to her nephews birthday party she is eager to go. Caitlyn soon discovers a world she thought only existed in fairytales. Reuniting with her sister brings her face to face with Vampires and Shape Shifters.

Caitlyn’s first night in this new world she meets a Were-Panther, Carlos. The attraction is immediate and
Well, smack me, and call me surprised!

Damn.. I had absolutly no high hopes for this book.. Well, yes, Carlos had been pretty funny in the previous books, but a whole book just about him? Hmm.. Yeah, that had me a bit concerned..

(And here is where the 'smacking me' comes in)

How surprised do you think I was, when this actually turned out to be my favorite book so far? (I'm SO sorry Ian, I still love you though *kisses*)

3.5 technically, but close enough to 4 stars.

I love Kerrelyn Sparks. There's obviously a cheesy aspect to these books, but they're funny and entertaining. I love all of the characters. Sparks has a man for everyone's fantasy: Scottish, French, Italian, South American... They're all sexy. Carlos, with his alpha male attitude doesn't disappoint. I read PNR for the flirting between the characters. I love the development of a relationship. Caitlyn just throws
Although I enjoy Carlos and his playfulness I was not originally excited to read his story. Actually I was kind of annoyed that of all the women in the story it was Shanna's sister Sparks decided to use has his love interest. But I instantly connected with Caitlyn. I actually think I like her more then Shanna. She's smart and brave but girly and isn't trained in law enforcement like the previous heroines. She just felt real to me. This book was like coming home to family after some time away. I loved it. Kerrelyn Sparks has given us tall, dark and handsome with a bit of a bite. I can tell you that black panthers will never look the same to me again after reading this one. Growl!!!

At the first I expected a lot of excitement and adventure but then I was disappointed. I found it just a sexy story and nothing else.

Specially at the last captures the story line gets worse.

Wow, this book was amazing, definitely not what I was expecting. The previous books had not been good IMHO, I thought this series was making a bad turn, but hell was I proven wrong! I loved this one. Couldn't put it down, seriously, just FREAKING AMAZING! To be even more clear, it was my fav from all the books in this series.

The hero was so hot you just wanted to take him out of those pages and the heroine made me laugh so hard I just wanted to read more about her, which usually never happens be

“I'll talk to him before I go," Carlos grumbled.
"And what about the girls?" Toni asked. "They need you, Carlos."
"They need a mother!" Carlos yelled. "And I need a mate."
Caitlyn gasped. Hes was looking for a mate? What kind of mate? His gaze shifted towards her, and his eyes glittered with a hard, angry look.
"You--what?" Toni stepped back, apparently stunned.
"You heard me," Carlos growled.
"Ye want to get married?" the Scotsman asked.
"Don't look so shocked, Ian. Didn't want you want to get married?"
"Aye, but--"
"You can't get married," Toni declared. "You're gay."
Caitlyn snorted. Were they crazy?
Carlos glared at her in the shadows, then shifted his gaze to Toni. "I never said I was gay."
"Of course you're gay," she insisted. "I saw you dance the samba in a hot pink sequined thong."
Carlos shrugged. "So? You said I was very sexy. You were practically drooling."
Ian stiffened. "When was this?"
"Before I met you," Toni muttered.”
“There's no bright side," Phineas objected. "The man's got no gonads."
"But she hit the target," Carlos said.
"The man has got no gonads," Phineas repeated forcefully.
"It was an accident." Caitlyn set her gun on the counter. "I was aiming for his chest."
"You blew his pecker to Connecticut," Phineas muttered.
She grinned. "I think you have issues, Phineas. It was only a paper pecker.”
