Interesting little book based on a true story. Ethan, a Romany gypsy boy, is orphaned and taken in by a farming brother and sister in rural Kent, just at the end of WW2. He grows up, unaware of his background, but knows he is somehow different from everyone else. A Romany family turn up and he lets them stay on his farm, and this is when he begins to discover his roots.
