I never even knew there was a Fraggle Rock comic. I grew up watching the show and loved it, so when I found this while browsing the children's section the other day, I figured it would be good. It had all the classic characters: exploring Gobo and his famous Uncle Traveling Matt, frantic Red, hippie Moki, sock-loving Goober and paranoid Wembley. It also had the Doozers, those crazy building fiends, and the doozer named Cotterpin who wants to be a Fraggle, and the creatures from "outer space". Wh ...more

I remember owning one of these issues as a kid. The stories are simple and moralistic, and very much in keeping with the Fraggle Rock ethos. They're also a little dull now, but I don't know if that's the age of the stories or the age of the readers. The art style is very dated, clearly revealing the early 80's Marvel style of its time. It's not going to bring anybody new to the Fraggles, or unlock any new depth for Fraggle fans, but it's a decent way to spend a few minutes revisiting them.

Much like the TV series, this is a blast from the past that still holds up. The stories here are full of mirth and whimsy. Their charm is outdone in quality only by the their humor and Marie Severin's artwork. This could be the benchmark for adapting Muppet properties into comics.

Got these as part of a Jim Henson Humble Bundle. I enjoyed the blast from the past. They were funny and nostaliga inducing.

A trip down memory lane. I don't remember Red being quite so annoying. "Classic" comic artwork.

An excellent adaptation. This franchise might even be more digestible in comics form.
