Forbidden Nights with a Vampire (Love at Stake #7)
Vanda Barkowski is in trouble.

Not my favorite pairing, but it was short and added a pivotal move in the war. I missed the snark in a coupe of the other books.
of course :)
Not like the previous books, that got many humor aspect, this book is more emotional.
Vanda Barkowsky got a hard past.Betrayal, lost her family, lost her lover, chased by Malcontents again and again, make her personalities is hard too. And then she must go to anger management, because some worker in her club, Horny Devils is complaint that she can't control her anger. She, of course, disagree to go to anger management, and relieved there no one wa ...more
This couple was great, the chemistry between them was amazing and how everything developed even better. I loved the change from vampire to were.
This series is a fun, quick read. I give this books 5 stars because I really enjoy reading them, but they can't compare to more serious or complex books. It's something to read when you're looking for a ligh ...more
Anger sizzled in Vanda as she faced Roman. “You won’t find anyone here to sponsor me. They’re a bunch of cowards.” She adjusted the whip around her waist. “And they’re right! They should fear me. If any of them dares to reprimand me, I’ll rip their heads off.”
A collective gasp echoed across the room.
Roman regarded her sadly. “I don’t believe you’re entering into this exercise with the correct attitude.”
Connor handed him the keys. “Be careful, lad.”
Phil snorted. “I know how to drive.”

I have always wondered what Vanda would be like. To be honest she reminds me of myself a little. I'm not quite so full of rage lol but I am certainly hot headed and an throw quite the tantrum whe ...more
(view spoiler)[I can testify that all of the previous book in this series is really quite hilarious.. BUT this one? make that times 10! It started on a really light hearted funny note wherein Vanda is summoned for accusations and then later on was sentenc ...more

Another great story by Kerrelyn Sparks. She again gives us well rounded easy to love characters, in this book particularly I really enjoyed the backgrounds she gave both Phil and Vanda. Once again the suspense surrounding the war with the Malcontents is a great background and allows us to once ...more
I just finished this last night. It was so awesome just like books 1,3,5 & 6 my favs in the series. I reached book 8 in it.
Okay Vanda reminds me in myself. Im sometimes mad and nervous and screaming at anything that annoys me. I even use violence lol
Ya so, Phil has a great character and charisma. He is hot sweet, loving, brave and beautiful. He is a perfect man. MAN! who ever thought Phil would marry a vamp? When he showed up in books before [ 3,5,6 and a bit of 1] I ...more
I wanted to like the heroine, Vanda. I tried to sympathize with her plight, but just couldn't make it work, no matter her tragic WWII Nazi-resistance back story. An ...more

This book did not seem to make me laugh like the other books did. I guess it is because the books are getting more serious as the tension between the good vampires and the bad vampires builds but I miss the humor.
Vanda Barkowski has anger management issues and currently has three lawsuits pending in vampire court. They all get dropped as long as she goes through some anger management therapy. This is her second time going through it. When nobody else volunteers to be her anger management ...more
I liked Vanda from the start in the previous books. She's a badass. Bad attitude, bad attire-catsuit, whip and purple hair. She's not afraid to kick some ass. Then, there's Phil. I really liked his domineering presence. He was ...more

Written at 1st or 2nd grade level (if most books are written at 3rd grade level LOL). Interesting story, but I can only read so many 5 or 6 word sentences before I get bored and choose a different book.
The list of books by the author in the front of this book seemed to indicate this was first in the series, but I see it isn't and that's another issue with the book ... no world building here, just vague references that would rem ...more

“I thought you’d never ask.” Vanda tossed her bag onto the table. She was ready for him this time.
He opened her silver evening bag. His eyes widened.
She was quite proud that she’d managed to squeeze a pair of handcuffs, a blindfold, her back massager, and a bottle of Viagra
into such a tiny handbag. She smiled sweetly. “Something wrong, Connor?”
