Meranda is an empath to the spirit world. A witch just like her grandmother was, it is at her grandparents grave that she meets Alexander. She could feel what he feels and thinks he's a ghost because of it, only to become startled to find out that he's a vampire who's made an oath to keep her safe.

It goes against the grain of his existence to get to close to her, but he can't help it once she becomes hurt when he accidently makes himself visible to her. He's always loved her from a far, and now
