. The masterful manner in which Renaissance history and legend was engineered into the life of the family characters in the story is amazing. From the onset of the first chapter when Michelangelo, as a boy, is abused by his father for wanting to be a sculptor to the teacher and his two teen sons being introduced to a Renaisance legend about the Ring of the Magi, the book actually seems to take on life.

I loved this book. The characters were well-drawn and the plot carried you along from start to finish. It was terrific to watch a modern day family encounter a historical figure and bring new life to a truly legendary tale. Fast moving and a real attention grabber, I would highly recommend this book!
