The book starts by addressing the ethical question of the assassination of Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto, and the question of which pilot deserves credit for shooting down his plane. The book quickly dismisses the ethical quandary, and focuses on the question of credit, where the underlying theme is a question of memory recall. For all the interviews, documentation and forums that are presented, its too bad Hall didn't spend some time researching the psychology of memory during wartime, to help put ...more
