I loved this story. It moved quickly, and I was excited to see what was going to happen next. I loved the premise of fallen angels trying to save the world. I thought the idea that the humans were just being used for their labor and were assigned to jobs and homes was interesting. I loved the hero, Michael. He was strong, courageous, very honorable and based on the cover, smoking hot! I also really liked Eva and enjoyed watching her try to make up her mind about what to...more

"To see the passion on your face as you come apart beneath my hands...there's no comparison."
~Michael
First, let me just say...the only reason I didn't rate with 5 stars, is the length. A novella that could have, should have, been longer. The story was there, room for a bit more development without overkill. I hope the next installment is a bit longer. I'll be starting it the second I'm done with this review!

For a short book it packed a lot of punch. Something about a man with wings that just screams...HOT! Michael is so angelic…yet oh so bad. Eva's essence calls to him and who is he to deny her. I loved her character, sassy, spunky and pushover for Michael. Just a fun, unique story line that has lots of potential. I only hope that the upcoming books will be a little bit longer. I would have enjoyed spending more time with Michael and Eva.

I really enjoyed this as a start to the series. It was very much focused on Micheal and Eva but it's laying groundwork for a big battle towards the end of the series when the other unmated fallen find mates. I did get worried at the end but thankfully it turned out how I wanted it to! I love the concept of the angels in this book and how they've been set up as potential oppressors of the human race and indeed the death of the human race if the fallen can't stop their human brethren! I'm hoping t...more
This book is the first of a series and since it was free and the title appealed to me, I downloaded it. It took me a while to start reading it, but once I started, I fell into the story right away. This always pleases me very much. As much as I like the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, for instance, I find I have trouble getting into the stories at times, especially since they often begin with characters we don't know yet as a reader (and who we might well come to root for after all, as I've com...more
I haven’t really read any angel stories, so needless to say, I liked this story. To be honest, in a way, this series reminds me of one of my favorite shows, SUPERNATURAL. If you watch that show, then you know there’s a war going on and the one angel friend Sam and Dean had is no more ( *sniff* a moment of silence for Castiel, please). This story—and this series—is taking the story of angels—both Fallen and not—to a whole nother level. The veil between our world and theirs has fallen and, well, t...more
I am used to reading about Rosalie’s demon half-brothers, so when I downloaded this book I knew I was going to have to shift gears a little bit. The paranormal creatures would be different, but this is also a novella and not a full length novel so I needed to adjust there as well. I am always hesitant about novellas, since they are so much shorter, but I have come to love Rosalie’s work, so I kept an open mind going into this book.

This was actually a pretty good story. Michael and Eva were hotter than Carolina asphalt in August. The underlying story is very interesting as well. Imagine a world run by angels stranded on earth because of a fallen veil. There is no mention of God so these angels may or maynot be of the Biblical type. My guess is 'not'. So humans are now worshipping these beings and have given them complete control of every aspect of their lives. Michael was once part of this group of white winged powerful be...more
I had first heard of this novella when Christi with Smitten with Reading reviewed it over at her blog. You can see her review HERE. I loved the idea of this series and I immediately went out and bought the novella and I really enjoyed it!

You may think you know about angels, but you have no idea. Ms. Rosalie has created a world of angels unlike any I’ve ever read, and I loved every second of it! The winged ones are anything but friendly when the veil between there world and ours breaks. They take over the earth, and life as we knew it ceased to exist. They build their high towers, and use their security team to enforce their rules. Human is life is left up to chance with a lotte...more

When I saw that this book was only .99 cents and that it was about angels, I decided to purchase it because I've been on an angel kick lately. This book is worth way more than I paid for it!
Angels and fallen angels have become popular recently, but this book was a lot different than any other angel story I have ever read. First off, the angels are the bad guys in this novella with the fallen angels as the good guys. That's pretty original by itself! But it gets better! The angels now reside on E...more

Angel fantasy in an alternate future.
Thirteen years ago the walls between dimensions collapsed and angels came to live on Earth. They took over the running of the whole world, from rules to housing to what kind of job you are assigned under guise of promoting "peace." Basically they are scary angels and they have what is called the "Consortium," humans who act as police officers and all humans fear them also.

In a previous review, I stated that the paranormal genre is my favorite genre. Despite that, I haven't read many novels that feature angels as the paranormal aspect in the book so I really wasn't sure what to expect with this one. Let me begin by saying this: quite simply – I adored this book! I'm so happy that it is a series because I cannot wait for the next one.

My Review:
I really like the world that Rosalie Lario has established in this first novel. In this novella, the world has changed. Suddenly the "veil" that separated angels and humans has dropped. No one really knows why the veil dropped, but the angels are now in charge. They have taken away the world as we know it...housing and jobs are assigned; there is no such thing as money any longer; there are curfews; humans are basically being used as slave labor. What humans don't realize is that their...more

When the veil between the human and angel worlds collapsed, mankind looked to the angels as godlike figures. It’s been a dozen years since the veil fell and angels rule the world, keeping humans in line. Most humans follow the angels’ orders blindly, but not Eva Smythe. Oh, Eva keeps her doubts to herself, but she cannot help but wonder what it is the angels are up to. Her questions are answered one night when an angel appears in her apartment.

For Love of an Angel provides a sexy romance, compelling characters, and intriguing worldbuilding in a well told novella-length story. From the main characters' surprising romantic meet to the heroine's introduction into the angelic world, the chemistry between them sizzles. The same pull of essences that draws Michael and Eva together reaches out and grabs hold of the reader. Eva's reactions to all the revelations she experiences are totally realistic and make you feel like you're going through...more
This was a quick, fun read. I used to be shy of anything with a hint of paranormal in it, but recently I find myself really enjoying the fantasy of these books. This was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It follows a trope I have read before: (view spoiler) but it does it in a fresh enough way to not be too predictable. This first book draws you into a world that is enthra...more
IT was an okay book. I just felt like everything was a little rushed. Everything happened a little too fast. It seemed like Eva and Michael met and fell in love in about three days ( which is pretty fast) I think that the author could have taken more time for character development ( especially for Michael). All in all the book was just okay
This was just an okay read. An introduction to a long series, twelve books if all them fallen angels got their own story.
This story didn't overwhelm me nor did it bore me. Not much depth in anything, in fact. I would probably forget about all about it tonight.
Three stars, because Michael was shirtless the entire time the story was told.

it's a good start for a series, but I still couldn't pinpoint what's lacking, but the is something that just not give me the click..
Maybe this book just give some pre story for the next ones.
One thing for sure, Michael is HOT and so angelic, despite his black wings, which I thought sexy, he is such a soft person toward his mate Eva.

This was an interesting alternate-Earth story in which the veil between the realm of humans and the realm of angels is destroyed, bringing thousands of angels to Earth. While most people expect angels to be the saviors of humankind, instead humans find themselves subjugated and enslaved by them.

I definitely enjoyed this short novella....but I wish there had been more of it! I felt there was room for more without being too much...either about each character or the "war". Maybe the next in the series will be a bit more in depth.
Micheal... is just hot, sweet and affectionate but still a "man". The sex? *phew* HOT. Usually I'm not too keen on instant attraction and love but it didn't feel rushed here. With the world and characters Ms. Lario built, it just made sense.
