A great travel companion for the beer aficionado on vacation. It is well written and informative, and a bit inspirational as well, as it makes me want to take a road trip. The reason for the missing star in the rating is the rather diminutive section on the Midwest. For such a large part of the country, there was not a lot here. I bought this travel guide to find some recommendations for great beer stops as we travel across the country. The book is very heavy on the Pacific Northwest and a little spotty for the rest of the country. For instance, it doesn't mention Tampa's premier brewery: Cigar City. I highly recommend as a resource for a trip for West and to supplement for the rest of the country.

I'm not sure what their criteria for listing breweries/bars but they missed a ton of breweries in Wisconsin and listed a supper club that doesn't even make beer.

Definitely skip this one unless you can get it from the library. Not worth the $20

Not as informative or impressive as the Northern California Craft Beer Guide, but still contains some good ideas for travel stops and beer pilgrimages.

Pretty spotty coverage of most states outside the Pacific NW, so unless you're brand-new to an area or live in Portland, probably not worth it.
