Oh, man! I read the excerpt for this book and absolutely loved how irreverent it sounded. I mean, mouthy earth girl meets purple space pirate hunk! I was hooked. I went out and picked it up on the spot and ended up just loving it.

Megan is sassy (sometimes when she shouldn't be), smart and ridiculously unlucky at love. Dump her into the arms of a bored ex-merc who flips all her switches - sexually speaking - and you end up with one hot, sexy, steamy ride. In space, no less. I do love my sexy sci-...more

This fun romp is sooo worth reading! Megan and Tren, our h/H rock the space ship in this lighthearted swashbuckling action adventure.

Read the book description for the backstory/details, it's pretty accurate. What it doesn't tell you is the potent chemistry they share. Author Eve Langlais did an outstanding job writing these characters.

hmmm...how to review this without giving anything away....after the worst evening ever where Megan's boyfriend attempts to kill her she is accidentally abducted by an alien, the ex-mercenary Tren who is now into acquisition of rare items...and here is where the hilarious adventure begins. It was fun to watch the relationship with Megan and Tren grow...Megan is a fun, snarky kick ass kinda girl and Tren is your normal snarly/moody alpha male.

They never new it would be so trouble some. They see Lousia and the fighting begins, who is gonna keep her? But what they don't get is Lousia has a mind of her own. She fights her feeling tooth and nail. But soon they all come to the agreement that the girls have to be kept safe. When they crash land and go missing ,the hunt is on. But which will win her heart?

Eve Langlais never disappoints. Her books are always funny and have good sex scenes in them. All 3 books were good and worth the read. Read them in order. Intro to characters happens in order and you learn the dynamics of them as well. I will say, even though I enjoyed all 3, my favorite was Dual Abduction. I love the guys. They mean well and don't figure out how to do things till the very end. Louisa, is a lucky girl! Worth the read. Just remember this is not a serious read. If you are looking for a serious romance ...these are not for you. If you are looking to laugh and read about women put into to situations where they just may have to get it on with a hunky purple alien....a must read! Laughed through out!! I absolutely love this author. She's probably my favorite and I just can't get enough of her stories. This story started out on a low note for me though. My main reason is that the whole "my boyfriend is a con artist and he just tried to kill me" bit is not only overused, but there was nothing original added to the plot. The attention is pretty quickly drawn away from the fact that Megan's scumbag boyfriend just pushed her overboard into the ocean and that's fine with me.

He can't believe his luck when he fishes out more catch from Earth than was planned, the woman is annoying to no end with her consistent chatter, posturing, filterless mouth and continued criticism. He should have just killed her and not set on selling her. But then there's the attraction to super pale humanoid, she rattles him, annoys him, but also excites his boring ex-mercenary life.

Awesome story! I laughed so hard reading this! Eve Langlais has some comic genius in her! From the synopsis above you can tell this is going to be an interesting story and it was, it was entertaining, sexy, bantering, sci-fi romance! I'm still jittery even after 11 hours from reading it, I wanted it to go on forever, I loved the firecracker chemistry between Megan and Tren, the bantering, the fights, the posturing, superb!

I loved the hunky purple Tren, he was cocky and dangerous beyond measure and Megan just blabbered at him like there was no tomorrow, teasing him, arguing with him until he saw red and snapped. Though his snapping was fun to read it had a very distinct sexual undertone which made it so delicious! Eventually all the bickering led to some spaceship sheets scorching sex - whoa boy did it ever! These two were match made in heaven, ;) bun intended.

And what I loved the most was the instant attraction and growing addiction they had for each other - sexy as hell. Watching Megan adjust to a violent universe full of the oddest things was so entertaining, especially when Tren took her out in port for the first time and had to knuckle kiss some frisky aliens for eye her - priceless!

Tren is a retired mercenary, now acquisitions specialist. He is NOT a pirate and he does not care what the crazy human barbarian female thinks on that matter. He is a transporter and wrangler of goods, an acquisitions specialist. He is too far away from Earth to take her back where he found her. He has no use for her on his ship or in his life. The only purpose he can see her having on his ship is annoyance. With that settled he sees only one option, the slave auction. He has only one problem with this whole situation, he can’t keep his mind or hands off of the quick witted, sharp tonged Earthling.
This is a fun read. The manner in which Tren and Megan go back and forth is very humorous. Megan knows that her words get her into trouble more often than not. This knowledge does not stop her from speaking her mind. She begins to figure out that her words get a certain reaction out of Tren. It’s a reaction that she finds she likes just a little too much. The lusty looks from Tren when she is verbally attacking him keep the barbs spilling out of her mouth. Tren knows he should find a muzzle to quiet his latest acquisition. Neither one seems to have the will or the want to do anything about the attraction. They eventually give in for some extremely hot alien sex.

Now she finds herself abducted by an alien pirate who has another thing coming if he thinks she'll sit obediently by while he plans to auction her off as a sex slave. It would be a lot easier to be angry at him if he wasn't so wickedly handsome. Tren has grown bored of his retirement from mercenary work. He never expected his life of collecting and selling rare items would get a much needed boost of excitement when he accidentally abducts a mouthy, all too sexy earthling. As he spends more time in and out of bed with Megan, Tren's threats to sell her become less and less serious and when an enemy kidnaps her, he'll risk everything to get her back.

From the start Megan does not hold back on letting Tren, or anyone else for that matter, know what she's thinking. She won't sit back and let her be sold without a fight. Tren considers Megan and all earthlings barbarians. He believes Megan should watch how she talks to him and should be grateful he spared her life. As you can guess, these two were at odds for the entire book. The intense arguments quickly lead them into the bedroom where they work out their frustrations in other ways.

I enjoyed Megan's bravery in the situation and how she had a snarky comeback for all of Tren's commands. A docile heroine she is definitely not. I also loved that she is aware and proud of her curvy figure. I like not having to worry about female characters having body image issues and spending time complaining about it. Tren is tall, well built and even with his purple skin and pointed teeth, he sounds attractive. I think it may have been Megan comparing him to a pirate. He's used to being feared and listened to because of his bloody exploits when he was a mercenary has earned him a dangerous reputation. One Megan cares nothing about. She's keeps him on his toes and challenges him in every way.

Megan's biggest threats are the men, or alien creatures, who want to hurt Tren by taking Megan from him. This brings out some real protectiveness in Tren that leads to very hot sex, and realizations about their true feelings for one another. Their not your conventional couple but I wouldn't have enjoyed them as much if they were. My favorite quote comes when Megan is kidnapped and Tren lets her captor know he's coming to get her.

"...he loved her enough to start a galactic war. How cool was that? Nothing says I love you like blood shed and violence."

Accidental Abduction is a very quick read that packs a good story, fun characters and lots of out of this word smutty goodness. Eve Langlais has delivered yet another novella I enjoyed from start to finish.

Great funny read. Don't worry hero is not really a pirate.

I loved the heroine, and liked the hero - loving the interaction of the characters. Our gutsy heroine Megan - the song "Tubthumping" by band Chumbawamba ["...I get knocked down But I get up again You're neva gonna Keep me down..."] could be her theme song - she's got spirit. What poor Megan goes through from the beginning is truly FRUKXED up! Yes she’s a bit mouthy, but not in such a horrible way that she deserves to be set out for death by her supposed boyfriend (grrr). Treading the ocean waters for her life and losing all strength and hope, she suddenly finds herself being lifted by a tractor beam to an alien space ship along with some ocean life. Well, at least she’s not about to drown any longer, but once she meets the ship’s owner, she’s not so sure if she’s happy to no longer be drowning. She’s one tough cookie that takes no bull and is not afraid to tell even the biggest of aliens as much.

Tren has retired from being a mercenary to take on a regular, dull and boring life of being a collector of rare items from planets everywhere. He’s one hot purple alpha alien specimen that will make you (for those who do not like purple) rethink your favorite color. After finishing the collection he was retrieving from earth he’s made aware that something is amiss aboard his ship. What he finds has him both disgruntled and intrigued! A mouthy human with curves he could sink his teeth into has accidently gotten caught amongst his collecting. What will he do now? Kill her? Sell her? Or possibly try and seduce her?

Tren and Megan really get on one another’s nerves. The antics between them are hilarious, the sexual tension and attraction is so thick it is clever worthy. I’ve never read a better mix of a couple so suitable for one another as they are.

This was amusing at times, but there were a number of problems I had with it that really detracted from my enjoyment.

PROS:
1. The hero is purple. That was really the entire reason I picked it up.
2. It was funny at times.

CONS:
1. This definitely needed some editing for grammar. The errors could get kind of distracting at times.

Overall: This was a very fun and steamy read. I felt right from the being i was able to connect with Megan and the stuff she was going to go through. I REALLY LOVED the banter and jokes that went back and forth between our couple. The sex was also very delicious and I think any girl would want to be abducted by Tren. Dang, Langlais has done it again. Accidental Abduction isn't necessarily "perfect," per se - there are a few plot holes and some deus ex machina, but for all intents and purposes, it largely kicks ass as a smutty scifi-erotic-romance romp. The sex is hot and the snark and sass is just so damn fun. THIS is what I want in a novella - a quick, yummy glomp of entertaining and well-written fun. Thank you, Ms. Langlais, and I can't wait to read the next in the series!

This book is fantastic! If you enjoy romance stories with hot, dangerous, alpha men - strong, opinionated women who don't necessarily have to lay around sobbing waiting for the hero to save them, and red hot sex - you'll love this book! The story is packed with humor, intrigue, paranormal adventure and really hot sex! I strongly recommend buying Accidental Abduction and let it take you away to a whole other world.

Through goodread's community reviews was how I stumbled upon Ms. Langlais books, reading her for the first time with this book, I enjoyed myself, giving over to the ride she wanted the reader to take with her. There were many smirk and giggle moments as well as gasp hot ones too. Overall, a good impression enough for me to get hooked on her writing style and keep on reading the continuous series.

This was a shorter story. While the story was familiar, the heroine was more sassy and slightly on the annoying side but the hero was written to be one who was intrigued and enamored with her "spirit". This is a good story for someone looking for light sex and storyline but delightful nonetheless if you can handle a more abrasive female lead.
Not terribly memorable but fun.

This book was just OK for me. I found Megan to me one of the most annoying heroins I have ever read about. I didn't find her tough act cute at all. She said over and over her mouth was what got her in trouble but she had not one sense of self preservation. It was ridiculous! I am surprised that Tren didn't kill her or sell her!

3.5 stars rounded up because I really enjoyed it!

I hadn't read this author before so not too many expectations going in. This is a fast, and so much fun read. It made me laugh out loud so many times.

The H is a huge purple hunk and the h is a fiesty, loud-mouthed cutey, who made me laugh endlessly.

Really sweet romance in the erotic way, and so much fun. I'm off to find the second in the series and await publication of the third which looks like a purple menage ... oh goody!
