Willie Juan and Ana were a middle-age childless couple, but children really loved him and Ana and all the neighborhood children hung out at their house talking and laughing and eating sopapillas.

One day, they were talking and Willie Juan asked a curious question: Little friends, what is one thing

All the neighborhood children love to visit Willie Juan and Ana. Willie Juan loves to talk with the children and answer their questions. Ana loves to make her sopapillas for them. After all the children are full, they sit around and talk about God's love.

A precious story of a Mexican husband and wife team who share God's love, not only by words, but by action. While I don't think this story will be well loved by kids, the message is undeniably awesome! I'm not sure kids will like it so much and

Sweet! From the lovely and adorable illustrations, to the tasty and engaging descriptions, Smack-Dab in the Middle of God's Love is a sweet book! The theme of being "smack-dab in the middle" is creatively expressed and like a warm hug reminding readers of the wonder of God's love for each one of us.

The simplicity of this colorful book would make this a great bed-time story for younger children. (Or even for children at heart, like this book-loving college student!) The use of a few Spanish words

Smack Dab is a children’s book with very cute, understandable title that maybe some one's own grandparent might have come up with. The story is one of a couple who express love to each other and those around them; everyone gets the overflow especially the children. The story always comes back to the theme of being smack dab in the middle of God’s love regardless of anything a child might think would disqualify them. This children's book is meant for very young children being introduced to the tr ...more

Smack-Dab in the Middle of God's Love is a book about a middle age couple, Willie Juan and Ana, who live in a small Mexican Village. They loved each other very much. Most of all, they loved God. Willie Juan and Ana, were unable to have children of their own, but they loved children dearly and always had a houseful of children from the village come to visit.

Willie Juan loved to ask the children questions and asked them one day, "Little friends, someday, when you are in Heaven, what do you think A

The first of Manning’s children’s books, this tender message is right on brand for the popular speaker and author who has traveled the world sharing Abba’s incredible love for His children.

My (Our) Thoughts: This is a wonderfully illustrated book and one that we could read over and over again. I love the cultural aspect of the book and the introduction of common Spanish words. The recurring theme of how food brings people together is one we can definitely

Not as cheesy-simple as some Christian books for children can be. It's not afraid to show children voicing real concerns like God is so big it's sometimes scary. A comforting tale, maybe a little wordy for the youngest readers to tackle alone, but good for family reading times.

I won this book in a giveway by My Four Monkeys blog.
