Nearly perfect slight contemporary romance. This is part of wider series, and you do get some series structure in here, but nicely readable as a stand-alone work. The hero is attractive and likeable. The heroine is soft, but not weak, and complements the hero very nicely. Even the dog is great. Makes for some nice escapism, and makes one wish real life tidied up as sweetly as this. I can definitely see re-reading this - the leads connected with me very nicely.
interesting I like the interaction with immigration as I have had my dealings with them but thankfully not to that extent
Long winded and at times kind of annoying. I felt a lot of back and forth and the heroine annoyed me at times.

Writing romance sounds fascinating. Huh?

I'm a writer. I'm boring. Day after day I sit behind a word processor making up people in my head. Why do I do it? I love it. My husband, Dave, gets up in the morning, puts on a suit and heads out into the ice and cold of Ballarat's winter. (Sadly I live in one of the tiny parts of Australia that qualifies as cold.) I make myself another cup of coffee, head
