"My mother said that I was a slow learner. It took me nearly forty years to figure out that she was right," so says Juanita Lewis, who continues her adventures of self-discovery and serious soul-searching in Sheila Williams's latest release, On the Right Side of a Dream. It picks up where Dancing on the Edge of the Roof left off, with our "shero", the middle-aged Juanita who ran away from home to preserve her sanity, pursuing another dream - a view of the Pacific Ocean. She i More...

After reading Dancing on the Edge of a Roof, this was a great follow-up. Juanita, like many women, was stuck in a life that she had not planned. I love the fact that she felt afraid but courageous enough to let it all go and pursue her dream. To live. If only real life could be so simple.
I give this book two thumbs up. I have not read a good book like this one in such a long time. However, on the down-side, I felt that the profanity diminished the character just a bit. Anyway, I lo More...

When I read 'Dancing on the Edge of a Roof' several years ago, I loved it. I'm not sure whether this story wasn't as interesting or if I had changed over the years, but this one did not speak to me in the same way. It was still a good story and living in Columbus, I love reading the references to the city. In the first book Juanita was at the beginning of a journey, in this story she continued that journey. New adventures and interests...but nothing seems to compare to the initial steps.

Sequel to Dancing on the Edge of the Roof. I was thrilled when I found out there was a sequel and I was not disappointed after reading it. You'll fall in love with Juanita and her friends all over again and will find yourself wishing this was a trilogy.

After reading "Dancing" I had to read this one too to see what happened to her and to get re-assurance that miracles do happen and there is a life after raising kids. I'm following in her footsteps and pursuing my dreams...in other words...I'm Just doing Me Now.

I didn't realize this was a sequel to Dancing on the edge of the roof. Juanita Louis travels to the Southwest and back to Paper Moon, Montana. She has inherited a B&B and starts school to become a chef. An enjoyable, easy read.
