I received this as a giveaway book, and as other reviewers have said, was not able to get the first book of this trilogy. I decided to read this anyway, and was disappointed. The writing was over the top (not every sentence needs to have three adjectives in it!) Although I found the flowery writing style annoying, I kept at it, just to see where the plot was heading. I felt that there wasn't as much that went on in this book as there was in the fisrt one. I really like the characters in the book as I did in the fisrt one. I'm so happy that the book takes place right after the fist one ends. I'm giving this book three stars and I look fo...more
