I love cooking and am more than a capable home cook but I have never been a meatball sort of person and always shied away from cooking them but this book had my mouth watering within minutes and I really wanted to try them. I think my dislike of them has always been because I have never really come across any good recipes but that is no longer the case.

One tends to approach single-item cookbooks with a certain degree of suspicion, particularly when one recognizes that item as something Bon Appetit magazine named "Dish of the Year." There's vast potential for disappointment since most of these kind of cookbooks are slap-dash affairs hurried into being to take advantage of a trend. Rest assured, however, that Rick Rodgers is no meatball dilettante, and that I Love Meantballs! is far more than a simple publishing-house gambit.
