I loved this one MUCH better probably because it centred around Lucian and Falon. I mean yeah Raf is nice, but Lucas, dang, he's sexy!

He oozes sex appeal, hotnesses and mystery.
How can you not be attracted to that, he is well appealing,interesting and gorgeous!

For those of you that haven’t read the first book , I strongly recommend you start at the first book. The first book ends in a cliffhanger, and the author doesn’t spend any time rehashing the foundation of the story from the first book, and you just might find yourself a bit lost.

I was reeled in with the first book to this series, Bloodlaw and couldn’t wait for the next book to finally land in my greedy little hands. I love the world that Tabke has created, with her chopper riding bad boy Lycan‘s, and the history of the brothers Lucien and Rafael, also the story behind the Slayers. The history in which she has given her characters and their story is compelling, and totally sucked me in to the story. I am normally a character driven reader, and Tabke hit all the major marks with me. However, there are a couple of issues I had with this book, and it revolves around Fallon. How many times is she going to get herself killed before she realizes that she is not in fact invincible. Also, I found myself a bit irritated over the fact that EVERYONE wants Fallon, and each time she’s brought back from death, or the brink of, her hormones are running rampant. Now I know this is PNR but those things were a bit over the top.

After the ending of the first book left me shocked and awe’d, I thought there was no way I could accept any outcome that denied Rafael and Fallon their HEA. Boy was I wrong!! I got the drift really quick in this book that Tabke was going to try to make me like Lucien, aaaaand well I not only liked him, I fell completely in love with him. His character is so complex, as he starts revealing his true self piece by piece, my heart opened up the same way. Thus leaving me in much of the same situation as Fallon, loving both brothers. But I will admit that were I faced with the choice myself, I would without a doubt choose Lucien.

I’m not going to go into the story / plot here, if you like shifter stories, this series is for you. This is the fourth book I’ve read by this author, and I think she is incredibly talented in her writing and characterization, and I look forward to reading more from her. Mrs. Tabke also knows her way around the smexy scenes, and will surely make your toes curl! (less)

What a good series, it’s too bad I have to wait for the next one…again! I took me a bit to get into the story because I read the first book so long ago but after that hiccup I was reading at a fast clip. Yes, read them in order, yes the end is a ‘to be continued’, YES they are well worth the wait.

4 Stars! Bloodright picks up immediately where blood law ended. I love Lucien.*sigh* He's a manipulative, bossy, ruthless, sexy bad boy alpha that is essentially a tortured soul. Rafael killed Lucien’s true mate years ago, who he believed to be a Slayer, but Lucien claimed she wasn’t and wanted Blood Law enacted, which basically means an eye for an eye. Instead of being given the chance to kill Falon, the council decides that since there’s doubt on both brothers’ claims, Lucien can have Falon as his own true mate, leaving her unharmed or release her to Rafael. He chooses to take her as his mate and leaves a broken hearted Rafael behind as Falon is now part of the Mondragon pack. The entire book focuses on Falon now being an alpha with Lucien and preparing for the big Blood Moon rising when the fight between the packs and the Slayers will come to a bloody conclusion. Rafael, being the honorable man that he is, has also promised to mark another mate in return for Lucien saving Falon when she’s mortally wounded early on.

BLOOD LAW was the story of true mates Rafael and Falon, BLOODRIGHT is the story of true mates Lucien and Falon and I had such a hard time with this. In the first book, it’s driven home, many times, about how Rafael and Falon and true mates, she loves him with all her heart and soul and would do anything for him. It takes her all of 40 pages in BLOODRIGHT to have sex with Lucien. To me, this trashes everything she was feeling for Rafael in book 1. Falon can’t help how her body responds to Lucien, but she doesn’t even try to resist him and after her initial plan to make his life a living hell gets forgotten rather quickly, she’s starting to fall in love with the brother who wants nothing more than to see Rafael destroyed.

Lucien knows that Falon loves Rafael, she states this many times throughout the story that she won’t ever be able to stop loving him, but she chooses to stay with Lucien. First, it’s to honor the Blood Law and I guess it’s also her way to honor Rafael, but that turns into her choosing to stay with Lucien for Lucien and the love she’s feeling for him. Lucien came across as such an insecure guy, which as an alpha, just didn’t mix. He goes back and forth the whole book with “releasing” Falon and telling her the choice is hers as to whether she stays with him or goes back to Lucien. She never denies the love she feels for Rafael, nor does she deny the love she feels for Lucien and tells him many times that she chooses to be with him. Lucien can feel the love the she has for Rafael and it pisses him off all the time. It was hard to understand why he kept acting out when he felt her love for his brother, especially when she told him time and again that yes, she loves Rafael, but she chose to stay with Lucien. Things would settle down and then he’d feel her love for Rafael again and the cycle would start all over. I thought many times, enough!! She picked you, Lucien, believe her, deal with the love she feels for her first true mate (which shouldn’t be a shock) and move on!

Falon made some bad decisions as well. She’s still learning about the power she has within her and as part of the powerful three: her, Lucien and Rafael. But she taunts the wrong people with her power and ends up finding herself in more than one life threatening situation. She’s still in the dark about who her father is, but her mother makes an appearance and I’d have liked to have gotten more information from her about what exactly happened in the past. Even though what happened between her mother and her yet to be revealed father is completely uncertain, it is eluded to, I wanted her to finally shed some light on everything to Falon (and us as readers).

My biggest issue with this book – it crosses the line sexually between Falon and Lucien. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to erotic stories, especially erotic PNR because lines will be pushed, pretty far sometimes, but there are some lines that I just don't want to read about being crossed. Lucien and Falon have some dirty, animalistic sex scenes. Early on, the most daring was Falon in her human form and Lucien in his wolf form during foreplay. It was a little eh, but it was foreplay and that was it; until it came to the scene where they had full out sex with Falon as human and Lucien in his wolf form. No. Just no. That’s not an image and scene I want burned into my brain and really, their sex was rough and daring enough without going there. I would have DNF’d the book right at that point had there been more than about 50 pages left in the story. I thought, I’m this close to the end, I’ll just finish it. Only to find another scene with more human/wolf sex, this time Falon shifts to wolf right in the middle of them having sex. This is a no-go for me and even with the issues I was having regarding the main relationship not really working, this just soured me to the whole book.

I did end up finishing it and the book ends on another cliffhanger. A third person comes into the mix claiming that Falon is their true mate (this one woman seems to be everyone’s true mate) and takes off with her, leaving the brothers in the dust. Judging by the cover of book 3 and all the hints leading up to the final installment, the three leads will finally come together for the big Blood Moon rising. At this point, I have no desire to find out how it all plays out in the final book. This story left a bad taste with the human/wolf sex line it crossed and it’s not a book I’ll recommend.(less)

You go from plotting to kill your bro if you don't like the verdict to a maybe plan to let Felon kill your bro so you two can be together. Then you promise to mark another mate and shun Felon. So what? Why did you have to give up everything in order to keep that promise when you were actually planning to ignore the council's verdict you swore to abide by? Then you say you can't take Felon back even if things were different. Then you say you'll have whatever Felon will give you. You're honor bound to this and that. You're honor bound to everything. Whatever. You say you can't touch Felon again then you go and have sex with her. You can't mark Enja cos you just can't, but then Felon tells you to do it, and you do it IMMEDIATELY. WTF. What, cos she told you so? WTF Raphael. Thing is, you make it clear you love Felon and need her back with you, but you don't do anything to make it happen. Nothing. You just bitch and have mood swings and feel sorry for yourself. And I just simply don't understand your honor and logic. Though I do forgive you 'cos you're a hunk and all and you're sooo in love with Felon.

F you too Enja for simply existing, though I do feel sorry for you since Raphael can't make it any clearer how he feels. I do question why you're in the story at all, though. And the thing is I don't think it means anything that you are Raphael's chosen mate now (I think if the author wants, she can just throw some weird logic in and Raphael can get out of the bond easy), I'm stilled pissed you and Raphael have sex and exchange marks. Seriously, if she's not a part of something big in book 3, just kill her off already.

Lucien. You are my favorite character in book 2. You get pussy-whipped pretty fast, but that's expected. You're moody and shameless. And plently insecured. It's cute.

Falon. You wanna kill Lucien one minute and the next you fall in love with him. You were so in love with Raphael you'd do anything to get back with him and 1 minute later you choose Lucien. Good thing is you eventually came to the simple solution: why not have both. Yeah. How come this love triangle hasn't ended since 30% into the book? Oh yeah because of the weird honor and logic and shit I don't understand. And the two alphas needa learn to share. And Lucien didn't know Mara really was a slayer yet back then.

And I gotta add, the 3 way conversation in the trio's thoughts is way weird. In their heads, Raphael and Lucien talk to each other like kids, not big bad alpha wolves. And the Slayer/lycan/Fenrir confrontation at the end is almost like a parody to me. Everything they did, every word they said, it doesn't make sense whatsoever. (hide spoiler)]

Still, I'm giving this 4 stars since it kept me up all night. And I began hyperventilating when I realized book 3 was yet to be released. Honestly, if you don't question anything, you're gonna have a good time reading this book. It's a nice steamy PNR with 2 alpha dudes rooting for one woman.(less)

I’ll be honest with you. This review is going to be breif, because I only made it 40 pages before I couldn’t go any further, but I’ll tell you what I know up until that point. I want to warn you though, if you have no desire to see any spoilers, I would stop now.

Bloodright is the second in author Karin Tabke’s Blood Moon Rising Trilogy and I was so looking forward to enjoying another hot and steamy yet fully enriched story by one of my quickly becoming auto buy authors. I had everything – my favorite comfy seat, my cool beverage, and my tasty little snack for later – then tragedy strikes in the first chapter.

Bloodright picks up exactly where Blood Law’s cliff-hanger dropped off. All hell has broken loose after the council’s verdict that either Lucien can take Falon as his one true mate or leave her to Rafe and choose another. Lucien chooses his Bloodright, not for a love of Falon, but only to torture his brother more for his treachery at slaying his own chosen.

Falon is so in love with Rafe and hates Lucien so much that she would rather shoot herself than to go with him. She finds him selfish, mean, callous, and insensitive and quite frankly, so do I. By the time Lucien gets her to his lair; she’s hurt and bleeding badly. It takes five days for her to heal, but for Falon, everything has just happened when she wakes up from her much needed recovery.

Karin is very good at what she does and that’s why I loved reading her work so much. She has me right there with Falon in her distrust, disgust and her broken heart. I feel her pain and her lost.

That’s why it isn’t a shock for me that when Lucien comes for her, she rails against him, fights him tooth and nail, tares at his flesh and shreds his skin.

The shock comes at his actions and her switch in mental voice because of it. I don’t care what “inarguable call of her blood to his” is happening or that they aren’t like us with animalistic instincts. I don’t care that her body betrayed her.

At no time is ok for a man to force himself on a woman.

For me this is NEVER hot, sexy or romantic, but it has come to my attention that there are some women out there who may enjoy this type of fantasy or can overlook it. I, however, am not one of them. I will not be reading Blood Vow when it releases this December.(less)

Book 1 in this series was easily one of my favorite reads of 2011, so I couldn't wait to find out what was in store next for Falon, Rafael, and Lucien. OMG, this series is HOT! I didn't know if I would be able to fall in love with Lucien as much as I loved Rafael from book one, but Karin wrote this brilliantly.

Lucien is the brother who sees himself as wronged 16 years ago when his twin Rafael killed his mate. He's been after vengeance ever since and at the end of book one, the Council set it up so that he could have it in a HUGE cliffhanger. But his plan for vengeance quickly goes awry when feelings get the better of him. It's that humanity that made me (and Falon) fall in love with him. OMG, talk about a tortured hero...Lucien is definitely that. You can't help but fall in love with him. But equally tortured is his twin Rafael who has lost Falon. All three of these characters is caught in this web of love and betrayal...and none of them is wrong. It's heartbreaking.

Lots of emotion here from all parties and at the heart of it is Falon who apologetically loves them both. I love how she gets in both of their faces throughout this book when they make her feel guilty. She is one tough girl who hasn't had true control of her life since she met these twins. BUT she does NOT let them, either of them, push her around. She's an alpha in her own right and she pushes right back when they get all alpha on her. I love that.

But the one thing that all three have in common is that at the end of the day, they ALL love each other and want what's best for their packs. They know that they are going to have to work together to make sure the packs survive, regardless of any jealousy or hurt feelings. It's a really amazing dynamic within these books and makes for absolutely riveting reading. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it and now am sitting on pins and needles for the final book to come out.

A couple of warnings: this book is erotica and definitely pushes the envelope. This is a world of shifters and animals are involved. I thought Karin wrote those scenes really well and believably, but it's liable to make some people uncomfortable. Also, knowing the way that book one ended, I was expecting the cliffhanger this time and yep, it was there. So if you hate cliffhangers...you've been warned.

Now I just need December to hurry up and get here (yes, this is probably the only time in my lifetime you will hear me say that) because I NEED to read Book #3...NOW! I love these three characters and cannot wait to read their HEA!!!

In the first book Blood Law, Falon’s unique pedigree makes her highly attractive and the Lycan alpha Lucien Mondragon. For he quickly senses her as his mate. But in order to save her life, she is given to Lucien’s nemesis and brother, Rafael. Rafael is the bad boy who hates his brother because Lucien was responsible for killing his mate. Rafael only finds it fitting that he has now stolen Lucien’s mate for his own and plans to torture his brother with the knowledge that Falon now belongs to him!

This book has enormous drama and sexual tension as Falon loves and longs for Lucien but can’t help her mad attraction to the wild and merciless Rafael. And Rafael is ruthless in showing her the pleasure that only he can give her. Feeling she is betraying Lucien but knowing they cannot be together especially since he is to have a new mate. Falon feels despair and just wants to try to make the best of her life with Rafael. But old secrets and betrayals are revealed that ultimately put Falon in danger and lead to a blood curdling ending that only makes the reader wonder what else the author has in store for the next book! While I usually find inconclusive ending frustrating, this ending was so tantalizing that I am just glad there is another book to keep the series going. The author’s style of writing is edgy, sensual and magnetic. This over the top series is addictive and I can’t wait for more. Paranormal fans will find this book irresistible.

Based on every other review I've read, I'm totally cranky or reading a different book than everyone else read. The first book of the trilogy was a guilty pleasure. This one was, IMO kind of a mess with some dubious consent, inconsistent characterization and (for me) squicky wolf-human sexual situations.

Initial thoughts...The romance subplot and inner conflicting turmoil surrounding it is Redundant as hell at the beginning. Once you get past then starts to take off. Lots of action and heat, and another surprising turn of events, makes this one an interesting read.

Going into the second book in Karin’s Blood Moon Rising trilogy I was determined not to like Lucien. I loved Rafael and Falon as a couple. Their relationship was securely established in Blood Law. I felt that Lucien’s anger and hatred towards his only living blood relative was extreme and probably should have lessened some over the past sixteen years.

To say that Lucien’s character shocked me would be an understatement. There are so many layers to this male. Initially Falon sees the brothers as “Rafael was all that was golden and honorable, Lucien was all that was dark and decadent.” Nothing with these two males is that simple. As Falon gets to know Lucien she quickly discovers this fact. He is just as loyal and honorable as his golden brother. She also discovers that she may be able to bring the two packs back together.

The two packs reuniting are paramount for their coming battle at the rise of the Blood Moon with the Slayers. Lucien, Falon, and Rafael are preparing for this battle and what their roles in it will be. Through a Slayer attack they discover that together they make a more formidable pack to fight against the Slayers that are determined to rid the world of all Lycans.

Falon’s strength as a heroine continues to astonish me. She has been put into an impossible position. Her choice in the man she will be with has been taken from her by laws that she was not raised by. She makes the best of her situation. Even when both men seem to only see their inner torment over the circumstances that they have found themselves in she still keeps her head high and seeks to find a way for all to be happy with the councils ruling in regards to the Blood Law.

The sex scenes are beyond hot and sensually erotic. Lucien is one sexually charged Lycan that has finally found the female that completes him. This is one hot and sexy romance. There are a few sexual situations where the characters are in their shifted wolf forms. These scenes are tastefully written on flow with the eroticism of the book and the primal mating bond that get established between the couple.

And now I will impatiently wait for December 4 and the release of the third and final book in this amazing series, Blood Vow. I can’t wait to see how this series wraps up.

Wow, after the cliffhanger in Blood Law I was dying to get on with Bloodright to see what happened and I am so glad that I read these first two books together! Bloodright was a sensational continuation of the series and I loved everything about Lucien and Falon. Lucien has so many layers to him and once he starts to let go of his anger we really see what a big heart he has. Maybe it’s my love for bad boys or the underdogs of a story but I have been rooting for Lucien from the beginning and I was not disappointed now that he finally got his chance.
With love blossoming between him and Falon, Lucien realizes that yes; maybe his heart is capable of loving again. Falon opens him up like no one else can and shows him that he deserves happiness and not just with her but between him and his brother as well. Falon doesn’t think that there is any room in her heart for anyone other than Rafa but she quickly realizes that there is plenty of room in there for Luca too. But she feels that by loving one she is betraying the other. The story reaches the point where Falon has to come to a decision and to either make it selfishly or for the good of the packs. The jealousy between the brothers escalates though and I thought Lucien’s growth here, while not complete, was intriguing to follow while Rafael somewhat digresses but in this situation is entirely understandable.
Falon is also discovering more about the power she holds inside of her, sometimes she gets a bit cocky in battles and the outcome is not good because of it, which got annoying but it’s a learning curve for her and Falon eventually learns that she cannot take on everything by herself, especially when it comes to the Corbet’s.

Surrounding the romance is the continuing story-line of the Blood Moon Rising and the battle between the Lycan’s and Slayers. Such a war doesn’t happen without lots of blood falling and casualties but all the packs are gearing up and preparing for a victory. The slayers aren't making it easy for them though and now they want both Falon and the Eye of Fenrir.
When Falon and Lucien get together though is when the story really starts to sizzle. Lucien is passion personified. If you thought Falon and Rafael had some chemistry than you haven’t seen anything yet. Lucien brings out a whole new sensual side in Falon and I was surprised that the pages didn’t combust in my hands. I just loved these two together!
There were some inconsistencies between the first novel, Blood Law, and Bloodright that bugged me a bit. In Blood Law it was fourteen years ago that Rafael killed Lucien’s Chosen One while in Bloodright it is changed to sixteen years ago. Rafael and Lucien’s age is also changed from nineteen to seventeen. Call it a pet peeve of mine. J
But for paranormal romance fans Bloodright had it all; wolfish romance, relationship drama and tension, edgy action and prophetic suspense and of course sizzling sex. I recommend the Blood Moon Rising series to all lovers of this genre! Expect another jaw-dropping cliffhanger though with this one. I'm counting down the days until Blood Vow now, I need to know what happens next!

Warning: Falon and Lucien are lycan and explore their sexual nature through both their human and their beast. I thought this aspect was very well written and found no complaint with these scenes but others may not find them to their liking. Also there is a little bit of delicious sandwich action going on between Lucien, Falon and Rafael. Just a teeny tiny bit but enough to leave you panting for more! (less)

I really enjoy BLOODRIGHT a lot

This is the first book that I have ever read by Karin Tabke. I haven't read her first trilogy, "Blood Law", Book #1. Bloodright is Book #2 of this trilogy about two Lycan Alpha brothers, Rafael and Lucien who are in love with the same woman Falon, a Lycan/Slayer half-breed who also has mystical powers and a fiery attitude about herself.

Falcon’s personal life gets more complicated. The more time Falcon spends with Lucien, she falls in love with him, too. Because of the tie she spends with Lucien, she also learns more about herself and her powers. The strength of the feelings she has for both Lucien and Rafael causes Falcon to be torn between the feelings she has for each brother since they have both melded to her soul. They each fulfill here in different and inexorable ways which make her complete. In addition, she has a strong feeling that she is supposed to be with both brothers and has a strong suspicion that the Prophecy of the Three relates to the three of them.

Bloodright is an outstanding book and I am waiting with bated breath for the next installment of this series. If you are a paranormal romance genre reader, this is a book you do not want to pass up. It has everything one could hope for in a good book - love, hate, mayhem, sensual moments, Lycans. Absolutely a hands down five star read! And the ending will leave you pining for more.

Ok this 2nd installment takes you back into the world of Falon, Rafa, & Luca. The rights of the Blood Law will be avenged. But as you are thrust into this crazy, angry, decadent, sexy, erotic world, you see something that you didn't expect was possible. The dawning of a new love. . I think I went through every emotion reading this book. My heart is so torn between Lucien and Rafael. At times I was so frustrated with Falon...well, all three of them really...I just wanted to slap someone. Imagine my husbands surprise when out of the blue I slapped him.

UGH! This book actually turned me off from the series. I do plan to read the next book, but at another time. In this, the second book in the series, Falon gets forced into being Luciens chosen one. I am not saying that Lucien doesn't reveal himself to be a good guy-generally, but Falon was with Rafe first, and she is miserable throughout most of the book and ends up wanting both guys in the long run. The ability of an author to take the reader on a journey through emotions, beliefs and opinions, etc. is a very important one. But the ability of that author to make the reader change that same opinion or belief is the mark of an excellent author. Karin Tabke is one of those authors.
