Amara Simmons has always fantasized about having two lovers but believes it is just that: a fantasy. She likes her men “gifted”, if you know what I mean. At the suggestion of a friend she registers for an online dating website for well-endowed men called betterthan8.com. She believes nothing will come of her site membership but after months of flirting online via email and...more

Fantasy is the first book in the Better than 8 series. It's Erin Jamison’s debut novel and has a unique storyline, or at least unique to me. Here’s a little background -

Amara had her heart broken when Adrian, the man she was in love with, married another woman. It’s been four years, but she hasn’t gotten over his betrayal completely and her friends really do think it’s time she moves on. During one of their girl’s nights, one of the friends mentions an online dating service she heard about call...more

Amara Simmons was tired of being without a man. All of her friends were in relationships and it had been four whole years since her last one. A relationship that had left her really hurting when it ended. During a girls night, she admitted to her friends that she preferred her men to be well endowed. But how was one to know? That's when one of them told her about a dating site that answered the question before it needed to be...more

I was given a copy of this book, from the author, for review.

You are in for a treat if you are a fan of MMF Menage action with a dash of humorous, frank girl talk.

The title of the book Better Than 8 stems from a website featuring well endowed men. Amara tags a guy and sends him a message. Turns out Seva is a Black Latin with a 10 and a half inch 'gift'. Seva is completely taken by Amara's beauty and brains. They communicate daily for several weeks. When Amara suspects Seva may not be being enti...more

My Thoughts:

So by the show of hands, how many girls here have had their friends give them advice about men? ::: Hands UP::: Well Amara has her share of advice coming from her best friends. Another show of hands, how many girls have overshared information about guys with their friends? ::: Hands UP ::: I've been guilty of that as well. Amara has been single for quite a while and her friends are telling her she needs to do something/someone about it and basically suggested that she try out a web...more

My review:

I was ensnared by the blurb for Better Than 8. Amara likes her men “gifted” in the length and girth department – hell yeah, what chick doesn’t. So I was quite excited to start reading this story.

I spent the first few pages with a smile on my face and confess to having a few laugh out loud moments. Especially when Amara is describing what she wants in her online profile and mentioning that she wants a guy like King...more

This book was different, it was interesting. I liked how it wasn't all about the obvious. Not based purely on the sex scenes. There was the work aspect of the book, where the main character, Amara, is a buisness woman. Her work is described well and feels like the base of the book. Although, the plot of the website was also interesting. I like how the author chose something current, using a website to meet someone, it happens and it's realistic. With a m...more

My thoughts:
Although this is not usually my genre, I enjoyed Erin's story. The story, although steamy and not for the sexually timid, is centered on the characters. I feel that they represent Erin's desire to show the importance of the people you have and bring into your own life. Throughout the story she stresses openness, honesty, respect, and trust; in all aspects of life, especially personal relationships. Erin builds characters that walk their own path, inspiring readers to do the same. She...more

Book Review:

Better Than 8: Fantasy is an exploration into sensuality, a sexual fantasy that explores the very human side of the character Amara and her emotional and physical needs.

Amara has been hurt, emotionally devastated by a man she thought loved her, as she loved him.

She feels used, her self esteem is at an all time low, her successful real estate business fill her hours and her lonely nights.

Author Erin Jameson touches on the relationships that Amara has with her girl buddies, the closene...more

Sensual. Anticipation. Teasing. Erotic seduction. Funny. Friendship.

I received a copy of this book by the author, a fellow blogger. I love finding new authors, especially those whom are trying to make a name for themselves.

Erin Jamison is doing just that. The creation of Better Than 8: Fantasy is a fresh and fun adventure into the world of friendship, online dating and taking chances.

Pushing forward, Amara takes a deep breath and allows her friend to talk her into testing out yet another online...more

Today's review is on Better Than 8 by Erin Jamison

Sweaty, hot and heavy! Erin Jamison's Better Than 8 is a heart pumping, erotic, fantasy.

Great books are those that create a world that the reader can hear and feel around them, and this book does just that.

Amara hasn't been in a relationship for four years since Adrian left her and married someone else. Four years is a long to go without, even while Adrian keeps coming on to her. So when one of her girlfriends suggests a web site where all the m...more

Amara Simmons got burned bad by love so for the last four years she's kept herself away from the dating scene. A rowdy girl's night full of food, wine and talk of an intriguing new dating site called betterthan8.com have her reconsidering her single lifestyle. Through this website she finds a man who changes her life and as their relationship progresses the things he has to offer her leads her to even more life-altering decisions.

This is a very steamy read that starts out slowly and becomes more...more

Man, oh man. If there was ever a concept for a book series that I was totally down for - it's Better Than 8. What is Better Than 8 you ask? Well, as you'll find out in this book, it's a dating website for women who like their men....um....gifted? *snicker* At first, I thought this story was going to be about guys with huge dicks and the women who want them. And, yea....I guess it kind of is. But what I didn't count on was the great story and the characters that have laid the foundation for this...more

What girl doesn't fantasize about a guy with a HUGE dick, 8 inches or more just for your pleasure? Well Amara certainly does, and at the advice of her girlfriends she signed up to a dating website that offered just that, cocks that are 8 inches or better! And yes maybe I did check to see if it was a real site LMAO! What she didn't expect was to strike up an online relationship with sexy and very well endowned Sevastian...

I love the idea for this book. I think if I were...more

*****Spoiler Alert: This story contained an overall sense of intrigue surrounding the romantic entanglements. Normally I don't do spoiler reviews, but in this case, I didn't feel like I could express my thoughts sufficiently to do justice to the story without discussing certain elements that were a part of that mysterious nature. Therefore this review might be considered “spoiler-ish” by some readers.*****

Quick Take: An intriguing premise and sizzling sensuality factor make this book worth taking a look at. I was underwhelmed, however, by some of the structural aspects as well as by some of the characterizations.

Review:
This tale (and series) has a very intriguing premise. What's interesting is not simply the occurrence of online dating, but the nature of the online dating; here, it's closely and unabashedly tied to sexuality as well as romance.

There were certainly some absolutely fabulous and add...more

An avid reader by nature, Erin Jamison dreamed of telling stories of her very own. Mustering her bravado, she forged ahead to create a series of stories that promote individuality, confidence, fearlessness, fortitude, and passion. She writes sensual erotic stories of women who know what they want and aren't afraid to go after it for women who want a bit of a thrill too.
