The first thing I always do with a cookbook is flip through it to gauge a few things. Is it attractive? Are there a lot of photos accompanying the recipes? Although, you wouldn't use (or at least I wouldn't use it) for everyday cooking..this book is fantastic for when you have a taste for something exotic. Furthermore, the author included beautiful pictures of the finished products, which I know always helps me. I would say the only drawback to the book was in a couple of the recipes, spices and fishes were used that won't be readily available at your loca ...more

I really liked the 'vegetarian' section and I loved the 'desserts and drinks' section. other than that, it was okay - it was more aesthetically pleasing.
