3.5 stars but I'm rounding up. :)

What an interesting premise! I really enjoyed how this story unfolded and I was interested and invested the whole way. I would call this book a very nice distraction because that's what it was for me. The MC sure held herself together way better than I would have. I would have been crying every day! There were some heated moments in the book. I really appreciated that the author allowed the characters to express their frustrations and hurts witho More...

Can you imagine waking up in somebody else's life? Or, at least, it feels like somebody else's because you can't remember anything about your previous experiences, not even your own name?

Heather Justesen has written a book exploring just what that might feel like. Adrianna, a well-known concert pianist, is in an accident and wakes up not knowing who she is. She is surprised to find that she enjoyed playing the piano in front of thousands of people, when she cannot even remember ho More...

Laura and Adrianna were so similar in features that they could just about pass for twins. Laura and Adrianna were riding together in a car when they were involved in a car accident. Unfortunately, Adrianna was the only survivor. The accident has left Adrianna with amnesia. This is sad as Adrianna is a famous concert pianist. Hopefully Adrianna will regain her memories soon.

Gavin works with Adrianna’s brother. They are business partners. Gavin must admit that he never really paid tha More...

A few weeks ago I purchased Heather Justesen's new e-book Blank Slate and installed it on my Nook. I was really in the mood for a good read and this one had a nice twist to it. Although a bit longer than most LDS romances, I enjoyed the plot and found the main character, Adriana, to be well written. Her thoughts and feelings were believable in the unusual circumstances of the plot. Her character was three-dimensional for me.

Synopsis: Adrianna Mueller may be a world-renowned concert pia More...

A wonderful story full of heart and turmoil that makes you think about how much each person is defined by the people they surround themselves with and the skills and assets they have inherently. A slow start from the beginning, but once the story starts to unfold it is one book that is beyond hard to put down.

I was reminded of a true story where two college girls are in an accident and the one that lives is mistakenly taken care of the other girl's family. A heartbreaking story that ma More...

Justesen has written a novel about the power of strength and love. Sometimes your family isn't just through blood ties but by who is there when you need them. Cherish your friends and your family. Accidents happen. Be thankful. Don't hold grudges. You never know just what tomorrow will bring you.

Adrianna has been in a serious car accident, leaving her with amnesia. Coming back from a resort trip, the bus she was riding on, got hit by a car that was rolling through the air. Many More...

Sometimes a book just grabs you and doesn't let go. Blank Slate was one of those books. I couldn't put it down. Imagine what it would feel like if you woke up from an accident and everyone told you the you were one person, but you felt like someone else? The author does a great job of exploring that subject in this book. The romance was very sweet. I loved Gavin's character. He is the only one who really accepts Adrianna for who she is after the accident.

Blank Slate is beautifully More...

Plot: Few books have me complaining when I have to put them down, but this one did! It keeps you on your toes, with a huge twist towards the end that you don't see coming.

Characters: I found myself getting mad at the annoying characters often! Heather does a great job of describing their personalities.

Setting: I found it confusing at first as to where Adrianna was at. There is a few places she goes to, and it's hard to keep track some times.

I liked this book! I liked the fact that it was different enough to not have me bored with the typical plot. I did know about the "big" plot twist from the beginning, because it was alluded to, many times. I loved the fact that it was set in Kansas, so I recognized the names of cities. The characters are very well-done! I really felt like I knew them and liked (or disliked) them! There was only one part where I laughed and had to read it to my husband. It was a very satisfying r More...

This was such an incredible read - so poignant! I couldn't put this book down - I stayed up almost all night to finish this. I needed to find out what happened!

We start the story with Adrianna and Laura on a bus together sharing photos and stories - two women so similar in looks that they could easily pass for twins. Adrianna borrows Laura's phone to play a game and Laura is looking through Adrianna's photos in her wallet. They are chatting with other passengers to pass the time More...

This was a quick, easy read. It was fun and kind of fluffy, but not as predictable as I thought it might be.

As she recovers from her injuries, she struggles with the expectations of everyone—her family, friends, and fiancé, Brock—who all want everything to go back to the way it was.

This was a fun read. I don't usually have high expectations for books given to me for review because of past experience, but this one was worth the read. I'd recommend it for a book club pick simply for the twists the story throws. There are parts that are gushier than I like to read, but emotions evoked by the experiences of the characters felt accurate. I don't dare say too much because I don't want to spoil the book for future readers.

This was a really good book! The beginning was kind of predictable but it was fun to read how her memory came back. After watching so many crime shows I didn't think this kind of mix up would ever be possible. It was a fun read. It captivates you and you want to keep reading to find out what will happen next and will she regain her memory? Heather Justesen is a great author and I enjoy all of her novels!!!

I read the e-book version of Blank Slate. I have to be really careful what I say because I don't want to give away any of the good plots twists. I loved the characters, the complex emotions Adrianna goes through after the accident as she tries to re-acclimate to life, and the romantic element - well, I'm a romance chicky, so that was my favorite part! The other totally awesome element of Blank Slate is that it's set in my stomping grounds - Kansas City, Kansas! Woot!

I won this book on the Goodreads giveaway page! Thanks so much!

I liked the story but it was a bit slow in the beginning. The second half was much better. I seem to remember something in the news years back that was kind of similar with two friends that were in an accident and one died and they were mixed up about who had died until way later. I can't imagine the heartbreak that would go on in that situation! Overall a nice story!

I bought this book from the author at a book signing. I was intrigued by the cover and wondered about the story. This is a clean romance. From information given in the first two pages, I could guess what was coming, and it left me wondering how the story would all play out. There were several story threads going on that were all nicely pulled together at the end. If you like clean romance, this is a fun read.
