Dana fled her pack and their laws to live on her terms, but the price of defiance was her happiness.

Pack law states Lycan females must be shared by two or more males, but young and in love, Dana flees rather than be forced into a ménage. Her life on the run, constantly on guard, has no room for happiness. When her past catches up and brings her back to the home she fled,...more

Who says running away will never make you free? Well, Kenny Loggins said that, but he didn't know what he was talking about, because things worked out just fine for Dana...

Dana fears the life that is her destiny. As Lycan female, she is rare and should be treasured but against Dana's desires, she must be shared among the males in her pack. She witnessed her mother's misery and is determined to avoid that life for herself. In an effort to dodge her destiny, Dana runs away from her pack and her fu...more

Defying Pack Law by Eve Langlais is wonderful escapade into the intriguing world of the paranormal werewolf shifter population. Dana, the heroine of this story, is a person the reader can connect with on an deep emotional level. She grew up in a very abusive household with a father who was overbearing and mistreated his own mate in atrocious ways.

Since Dana grew up up in a household with a cruel male role model for a father, she is very skittish about living out her life within the pack paramet...more

Omg! I am astonished! Defining Pack Law is a novel to howl about. When I started reading I couldn’t stop, I even got mad because I had to stop and fix dinner LOL. Eve Langlais adds a lot of emotions and depth to this wolf tale. I laughed, loved and even cried and that last one is hard for me;-) These three men are awesome. Why? For one Eve writes each male with their own personalities, so they are all are easy to fall for. I simply loved Dana she is sassy, witty, very loving and forgiving. The w...more

Fun Book! I loved it!

I have wanted to read this one for a while, and I'm not sure why I waited so long, but it was worth the read :) LOVED it!

The book starts off as we meet Dana, She's a strong girl, hard working and a Werewolf - She-Wolves are rare, but male-wolves are over flowing the populations. So when a Male comes across an unclaimed she-wolf, it's his duty to claim her, no matter what ... and Share her with his pack - ummm - Dana grew up with her parents as role models, Her father was a...more

Okay, where's the blond on the cover? I guess the guy in the middle could be dirty blonde but for the heroine to call him "blondie", I'd think he'd be more blond. Another cover that skirts the story. It's seem to be my quest in life to seek out bad or not applicable covers and root them out, or at least complain about them.

The story itself I really enjoyed. Dana was in love with Nathan and although pack law said each female had to have 3 mates she didn't because she couldn't change into a wolf....more

I was enjoying this book up to the point where Dana lost her freaking mind and started with the whole... He did something wrong, but it's okay because it was my fault. I wanted to throw my iPad across the room or at someone! She went from this strong woman to this person that just... well, I'm not sure what the hell happened. It just turned me off... So the answer is that Nathan runs away -- hello, you're pack alpha, IDIOT, you can't just run away! That was just... silly. And HOW did Dana outrun...more

I had high expectations from this one!! Probably because I read good reviews about it! I was a bit disappointed. I really liked Dana at the beginning. She was portrayed as a strong character, but seemed very hypocritical later. Her beliefs on polygamy were so strong that she chose twelve years of loneliness and celibacy for it, along with that a life constantly running and hiding and living in paranoia!! But the minute she returns, it takes her less than a minute to drop her inhibitions and choo...more

This story has a really good plot, and seriously HOT STEAMY SEX SCENES. I felt that the plot was not well build up and elaborated as well as a little bit rush. Though, the sex scene were done very well.

Dana did not want to obey the pack law of 1 female to a few males. And decided to run away, which cost her freedom. For twelve years, she lived in constant fear and paranoia. Until she was a victim of a capture, which made her reunite with her lover. Who forced her to go back to the pack. There sh...more

I've reviewed several books written by the beautiful Eve Langlais in the past and the one thing her writing has in common is the fact that she can make me go from zero to OMFG-over-heating, in no time flat!!! The woman is a literary genius, not to mention that she has the spice factor down perfectly! Defying Pack Law is a sensual, sexy, dramatic story of advancing beyond and overcoming past obstacles and is well written and detailed. Dana is a sexy, stro...more

Dana ran from her pack and their archaic laws when she was eighteen. She was young and in love and naïve enough to believe her first lover when he told her that it would be just the two of them, even though pack law dictates that she take a minimum of two lovers. Dana did the only thing she knew could keep her from being a female passed between a group of males for their sexual gratification. She would have her freedom and the right to make the decisions for her life. She ran. It took twelve yea...more

This is a hard book for me to rate. I read it initially because of a one star review that made me curious, and now that I’m finished I’m vacillating over my feelings about this story. There were parts of this story that I loved almost as much as the parts that I disliked. Unfortunately, the bad parts outweighed the good for me. Nevertheless, I could see a reader going either way with this book.

What I did not like about this book:

1. The pack dynamic between men and women: It was frustrating to re...more

Oh my goodness! Someone help me off the floor… My side hurts from laughing so hard and I think I am in love with all the characters in this story and quite possibly the author as well. Dana is a feisty she-wolf who has been on the run for twelve years because of pack law. She is determined to stay mate free. I cannot help but love a woman that will not lie down and let a man, or men in this case, control her life.

The magnetic pull of...more

A compelling look at a young female wolf shifter who has run from her pack in defiance of the pack law that would have forced her to mate with more than one male. After watching her father's disregard for her mother and seeing her mother's love slowly beaten to death by her dad's willingness to share her mother with any unmated male, Dana felt betrayed by the young male to whom she had given her heart, and even as she heard Nathan's assurances that he would protect her, she also heard the unstat...more

This journey into Lycan territory...and the PACK was enthralling.

Dana has been running for 12 years...running from being "just" a warm Lycan FEMALE body that has to give in to the males. She loved Nathan, a Lycan, when she was dormant (her inner wolf hadn't made her appearance). He promised her he'd never SHARE her. But then she became a wolf...and the only way her father and his would allow the match was if he'd SHARE.

She ran...

Nathan finally finds her...and she's in DIRE straights. He puts his...more

This story had everything going for it, then about 80% into it things began to fall apart. I realize that the standard romance formula, boy meets girl, boy loses girl then boy and girl get together in the end is classic and without some issues to resolve the story would be horribly flat. This story had boy losing girl over and over again until I was no longer sure I wanted him to find her. Too much guilt, too much angst and too much going on. The plot twist toward the end felt like a paranormal...more

WHOAAAA MAMA... I was looking for a really, steamy, sexy book that just racked up the tension and this was it! Dana is a wolf shifter who has been on the run from her pack and fiancé for 12 years in an effort to avoid the pack law of being mated to multiple males. Once her fiancé finds her, things get turned on a head when she finds the laws have changed. Would have loved to have seen more evolution to the story, and a longer ending, but it was entertaining for what it was.

I read the second the book first not realising i should have read them in order, not that it was really necessary. I really enjoyed this, maybe not as much as the second but i really liked Dana and all the characters. But there were times i just wanted to scream at Nathan and hit him for being a Major Ass Face. Roderick we didn't find out much about, i wanted to understand why he originally did what he did when he was pack leader but i felt i didn't get a real answer. It was a great short read a...more

Thank you Goodreads for recommending this book! This is the first time I've used my GR recommendations and damn they did not steer me wrong!

I had read Eve Langlais before and enjoyed her work, but this was just fantastic. The right amount and the right combination of all those elements I love in a menage... hot sex (#1 LOL), caring, strong emotions , strong characters that you actually like and want to make it work, along with elements of fun and light-heartedness. Oh ... and love and a great HE...more

This book was scalding hot!!! Growing up in a pack, Dana must come to terms with the law that females must mate with more than one pack member due to the decrease in female population. That doesn't sit well with Dana who refuses to pimp herself out to several males, so she runs away. And continues to run from her past until one day it finally catches up to her. However, when the opportunity arrises again she finds herself questioning why she was so opposed to sharing herself with more than one l...more

I did enjoy this, and it was super hot, but there were also some disappointing things.

Dana left years ago because she was going to be forced to have up to four mates rather than just the one she wanted. Nathan has been trying to track her down for much of that time, and finally succeeds just when she's really in trouble. He's ready to break the rules to claim her all for himself, and after having met his friends John and Kody she decides she wants more men after all.

Like all EL's books i have read so far I found Defying Pack Law to be a fun, short read and I wish it was longer but only because I enjoyed the characters so much. I liked how Dana didn't immediately change her view of sharing when she met her three heroes - her character was strong but not unbending when she made the decision to make things right with Nathan. I especially liked how Nathan struggled with his jealousy at sharing Dana - it's not something that is usually mentioned in menage romanc...more

I recently re-read this story after buying the 2nd book in the series to refresh my memory what the story was about. It was just as addicting as the first time I read it, though I recalled fairly quickly what it was about.

Dana is an independent werewolf and one of the strongest heroines I've seen in a while. She reminds me a lot of Muriel from Langlais' Princess of Hell series, except without the dark sense of humor. Dana has a lot of issues to work through and overcome as she rejoins her old pa...more

I enjoyed this story quite a bit. Pack law states that a female must take multiple males in order to help the were population but that is not something that Dana is interested in. She is a very strong character and is unwilling to bend to the law on this one. Except when she meets up with her childhood lover, Nathan and his two friends, she is starting to find that a polygamous relationship might not be so bad.

I liked the characters in this story. Dana, is confused because she never wanted anyo...more

i really enjoyed this book. it had a great plot with Dana being a werewolf concerned with pack law requiring her to mate with several men cause of a female shortage. she's in love with her childhood sweet heart, then runs to prevent taking on the law.
after 12yrs she's rescued by said sweet heart and whom she still loves but is angry with cause he wanted to share her before. ironically he doesn't want to share her now and she's considering the prospect with his closest buds.
Dana and sweet heart...more

I don’t have to say that a book with three hot werewolves is a very enjoyable read! “Defying Pack Law” by Eve Langlais has everything a paranormal romance must have. Romance, adventure and many hot scenes.

Dana is a female werewolf and determined not to return to her pack because she doesn’t like the fact that one woman has to mate with many men in order to have many babies. The love of her life was the Alpha’s son and many years ago he broke her heart. Now he is back and he wants to be with her...more

Okay, so I'm almost at the end, and up until now I totally loved it. I loved Dana's spirit and her stubbornness, I loved Nathan's protectiveness and the way he expresses his felling towards her. I especially loved Kody with his playfulness and funny flirtations.
I won't say I didn't like John at ALL, but he really isn't my favourite character. Perhaps if he'd been man enough to be true to the promise he made to Nathan and didn't act like a total jackhole by bonding with her first, I might even l...more

This is a story about a female werewolf who ran from her first love when it became clear he'd share her with others, as per pack law. Twelve years later, he catches up with her. Dana is feisty, strong, and knows what she wants and doesn't want -- at least she thought so before meeting two of Nathan's friends and her wolf longs for them, too. Dana resists the attraction because she grew up with a father who shared her mother with everyone. Most pack relationships are closed -- they may be menage,...more
