I grabbed this book because I realized that it had to have been written by a fellow NaNoWriMo nut.

Once I got into it I had another realization: This is an actual cookbook! AND a lot of the recipes had MEAT. I am a vegetarian who doesn't cook. Soooo... I am not a good judge for this book. My diet, during the month of crazy writing attempting to get to 50,000 words, is finger foods. Lots of vege-sticks, sometimes left-over Halloween candy and lots of caffeine.

This is another one of those free promotional ebooks to give you a taste of her writing. There was only one recipe that was interesting to me and I think that my family would actually eat - Beef Tortilla Bake. The introduction was quite cheerful and made me look at her website...so I guess the freebie worked...cookbook not so much.

I literally said YAY out loud when I got past the hamburger chapter since I was afraid the whole book was going to be ground beef recipes. I had high hopes for 30 days of dinner recipes, but only got about half that. Still I will totally use some of these to feed my family. Gringo Burritos is up first.
