In the tradition of an American Dreamer the 1984 movie starring JoBeth Williams, frustrated unappreciated house husband Alan, runs away from an argument with his emotionally abusive wife and gets hit by a car. At-home dad Alan lives vicariously through sexy thrillers until an accident affects his memory, and he goes on the run with rich patron Jared as a Man of Mystery, making a lot of money by charming and sexing up the men and women he meets. This had some potential, but was too short and matter-of-fact in tone to delve into the psychological complexities that make this sort of plotline interesting.

I liked the premise of this book but could have done w/o the m/f/m sex. About threw up in my mouth. But other than that, it was entertaining and I loved the ending.
