Flickr is a very good networking medium. Other networking sites gets neglected because of over emphasis on reading material. But nowadays people have no time to read. Photographs are ideal because they say more in less time. That is why Flickr has become so successful. Different interest groups have come to Flickr to share their ideas through photographs. For example, there is an enviornmental group called The Green Earth Magazine with more than 14,000 photographs.
