But when Dave breaks up with Ellen and the Sex God is never around, Georgia doesn't know what to do! As always, in Georgia's life, nothing ev...more

Louise Rennison’s Georgia Nicolson books are like magic: even when I’m in a rotten mood and I’m convinced my life as turned to “poo,” I just polish off another book in the series and I’m back to feeling fabbity fab. Anyway, enough about me. Let’s get to the book.

In this fourth installment of The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series, we find Georgia in her usual multifaceted state. She and the Sex God are reunited after his brief tour with The Stiff Dylans, and she begins her new life as a “cel...more

Ooh hoo! I think this book is my favorite in the series. The imagery is absolutely wonderful. M’sieur Call Me Henri, the French student teacher. Libby’s “fwend” Mr. Cheese—“a bit of old Edam in a hat.” I wonder if Terry Pratchett borrowed from the idea when he created Horace, the Lancre Blue cheese, thief and troublemaker that sports the Nac Mac Feegle clan tartan skirt. ;) The image of Angus driving the Prat Poodles crazy on the fence, “raising his paw slightly higher and higher” then “tapp[ing...more

Another laugh-out-loud book from the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison, Dancing in My Nuddy-Pants! follows Georgia as she balances being the girlfriend of a pop-star sex god and maintaining a purely platonic relationship with Dave the Laugh, who's now dating her friend Ellen. In this book, Georgia and her friends take a class trip to Paris with gorgeous teacher Henri. Georgia hopes that her parents allowing her to take this trip means they will let her to go America (aka "hamburger-a-go...more

I love this series (I think I may have mentioned this in my previous reviews) but for me this is the weakest so far. It wasn't as funny as the previous books. I found the lack of major events really made the book lose some of it's humour. I just want to prove my point on the major event front, in book one Georgia was trying to woo Robbie, in book two she had to win him back after he dumped her and in book three ther...more

Hilariously funny in Georgia Nicolson style but I was hoping there'd be more snogging with Dave! Oh well... I'm anxiously awaiting Book 5!

In all seriousness, though, I think Louise Rennison did something special by creating this character. Georgia is so easy to relate to. I find her to be so likable even though she's obviously flawed and self-centered sometimes. I think the relationships between her and her friends are very realistic and I could identify with how she was feeling about the Robbie...more

Although Robbie is gone, and what a shame- he might have tempered the twat side of Georgia- we do get more of Dave the Laugh.

"What in the name of Lucifer's bottom is the Cosmic Horn?"

"That is when you fancy everything and everyone in the universe."

Blimey.

Blimey indeed. Crikey even. Louise found a name for it.

One good thing about these novels is that they've inspired me to induce more spontaneous "comicosity" in my life. Like doing a "Let's Go Down the Disco" on main streets with a friend. Or br...more

Summary:"even further confessions of Georgia Nicolson" The main crux of this entry in the Georgia Nicolson diaries is she is torn between Robbie the Sex God or Dave the Laugh. And at the end, Robbie goes off to New Zealand, so I am guessing she ends up with Dave, HOWEVER, there are like, 5 more books, so I am guessing that a lot more happens between now and then. My question: what are these guys seeing in her?
Response: Truth be told, I am rooting...more

The book Dancing in My Nuddy Pants by Lousie Rennison. Is about a teenage girl named Georgia who goes through some weird things in her life. Equally to the previous books, this book is simply hilarious. Georgia Nicolson is the weirdest person you will ever come to meet in a book. I liked the writing style, it had a fast pace and was very easy to read, definitely not boring. I consider this just an enjoyable read and not a great work of fiction or anything, which is fine because I don’t think it’s really meant to be touching, just very funny. This is a series of books I like the read when I want to read something light, easy and funny...more

this book was about a girl named georigia nicolson who has a boy friend named robbie bt she like to call him the sex god. in the book georgia gets in trouble for acting silly and she want to tell robbie bt she thinks he will say she acts like a little girl and break up with her. then at a party that her friend rosie has she kisses her ex boy friend dave the laugh and she says that it was because she has red bottomisity (she likes to make up words) and so she trys her best to keep it from robbie...more

Don't get me wrong, I love these books, but it seems like the same things happen to Georgia over and over again. She's still dating the Sex God, but then Dave the Laugh comes along and snogs her and shes as confused as ever. And this seems to be happening like, once every month. And then Dave starts dating Georgia's friend Ellen, and she starts getting all jealous. FOR GOD SAKES WOMAN, IF YOU WANT TO BE WITH DAVE, JUST DUMP THE SEX GOD ALREADY.

I'm most definitely glad that Robbie (the Sex God,...more

Combined review of the first four books in this series: My roommate owns the first four Georgia Nicholson books, and I picked the first one up to be bathroom reading, and then found myself zipping through the rest of the collection, too. They're embarrassingly Bridget Jones Lite, the diary entries of a 14-year-old British girl who's endearingly-and-sometimes-irritatingly superficial. I could actually FEEL my brain cells jumping ship as I read these things, but they're JUST charming and silly eno...more

Fourth in the series and written from the perspective of an English teenage girl, the language alone makes you chuckle. It is written in the format of a diary and talks about Georgia’s adventures in an all girl school and her boyfriend, the Sex God. She dreams of going on tour with him and his band to America. I was expecting this book to be laugh out loud funny but it wasn’t all that humorous. I didn’t think it had much of a plot to it but that may be a welcome concept for s...more

As was the case with the first book in the series, this one was funny and ridiculous (but on purpose). Georgia has some hilarious observations, but I can't look past the fact that she is rather annoying and even stupid at times. I hate how she loses every sane thought in her head every time she is around her boyfriend. It's kind of sad, really. I realize that she's a teenager with raging hormones, but there are a lot of smart teens out there. She's not very relatable. I also hate the way she con...more

These Georgia Nicolson books an an absolute guilty pleasure for me. I adore them and they make me literally laugh out loud while I'm reading. My favorite affectation from the series is the description of someone's behavior as "(verb)ing like a (noun form of the verb) on (adjectival form of verb) tablets." So when I read the books, I'm laughing like a laugher on laugh tablets. I use these descriptors as often as I can because they annoy my son. And that's the best part of it; these books make me...more

Georgia is at it again, using her absurd charm and wisdomosity to navigate a class trip to Paris, sticky-out elbows, and the splendid but troubled waters of being the girlfriend of a Sex God in Dancing in My Nuddy-Pants. I distinctly remember this volume for the uninhibited, nuddy-pants display by Georgia at the end, and it was just as good the second time around.

As usual, I found myself laughing out loud at many of our funny little heroine’s antics and high jinks (but Libby doesn’t get nearly...more

As always, a great pick-me up during a hormonally challenging week.

Gorgey Henri has let the ace gang be in the same room together! How fab is he? Usually we get split in class, but the six of us are back together again. Yes!!! Les girls have arrived. It's a really groovy room as well. I have a bed by the window. I lay down on it and said, "Aaahhh, this is the sort of life I will be leading from now on."

Rosie said, "What? Sharing a room with five other women?

I started reading this series probably ten years ago or so, in my teenaged years, and I think I stopped with this one as it was the newest at the time. Since then I've seen the series around and always meant to go back and finish the rest.

Georgia is an interesting oddball of a character. I can't always get a handle on her, especially as I noticed the author stopped mentioning how old Georgia is supposed to be. She mentions being fourteen mid-way in the second book, which I thought was strange be...more

who doesn't like funny book? Well if you hate books that seem exaggerated then i don't think you should read this book. Because i don't like how some people just say" only this book is sooo boring, doesn't read worthless, or something like when will this girl ever stoop" I think i learned a lot from this funny character Georgia. This time she is dealing with her ex boyfriend Dave and her current boyfriend Robbie. Haha it's funny when she gives weird names to things and people.

as you can tell i am addicted to these books i read the third one in one day and now i am on the fourth one called dancing in my nuddy pants. i know the titles are really weird but the books are amazing. If you like funny books and books in a poem format then you should read her books. in this book she is still dating the sex god. she goes to paris and her boyfriend goes on tour for his band. Will they grow apart or grow closer together?

Kittens, Paris, and red bottomosity!! The trials and adventures of Georgia continue to delight me. I'm disappointed that none of the books following Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging have been all that funny. I mean, I've giggled here and there, but AT&FFS had me ROLLING XD. Still...I will continue on with the series! I'm sure most people stop reading after the second book....considering her work to be mindless drivel. As true as that may be, I can't help but be in love with the chara...more

Absolutely hilarious, as usual. Georgia and her friends put their bags under their coats and pretend to be hunchbacks at Notre Dame, then accidentally step on the grass and get screamed at by the French park rangers. The little sister Libby insists G. kisses her old cheese-in-a-hat goodnight. And there is even a Virgin Mary of a cat giving birth to six kittens, prompting G. to cry for gifts to be brought to Bethlehem.

This is soooooooooooooooo incredibly funny! I've read a few of the stories in this collection and the sense of humour and style of writing is absolutely fantastic and laugh out loud. I truly loved these books and the characters are so full of life, with their very own strange language, you can really connect with them and all that they deem of major importance in their very young lives. Brilliant, a real must read.
