Karen Rose is one of my favorite, go-to authors for a masterful romantic thriller and one of the best when it comes to chilling suspense and creepy killers. Her storylines are always intricate, gripping, and taut, and this is certainly no exception, with a complex plot that deals with wrongful imprisonment, conspiracy, murder, intrigue, and political machinations.

This latest from Rose is more to my liking:) Ms Rose put the romance back into her murder thrillers in this one so I got what I like in my RS - a good balance of romance and suspense. In this case, 50/50; Those who prefer more focus on romance would likely disagree, though. For me, though, NOLtT is still very much a murder mystery and the MCs are totally focused on resolving the issues that have arisen following the death of Elena, Ramon's wife. Elena had been trying to get her husband's case re...more

Karen Rose has been one of my auto-buy author’s since the first time I picked up and read my first book by her.
I always feel like I’m trying to solve a puzzle while engaged in one of her stories. A corner piece here, an edge there and finally a piece of that pesky blue sky. No One Left to Tell was like a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle and it packs a whopping 518 pages. That’s a lot of story with action, twists and turns, secrets and a sweet and budding romance.

Wonderful read Ms. Rose! Now as many books as you have put out, they always feel fresh and new. I am kicking myself for not reading this book sooner, because the sparks between Paige and Grayson was off the charts. I just kept telling myself that I wasn’t in the mood for a book with high body count…and you must admit you are famous for that. But this book felt more like a romance then a suspense with romance. Loved P and G as a couple and the loved scenes….wowza…you certainly picked that up a no...more

You will absolutely love this book if you like long, complicated stories with an endless cast of characters and a barely there romance arc between characters who have the hots for each other, though you can't quite figure out why. Toward the end of the book (p. 452 out of 524), one of the characters helpfully summarizes the story: "Serial child molesters, murderers, case fixers, a cop gone bad, his kidnapped child, and a mastermind eliminating anyone who gets close to the truth. Makes my head sp...more
One thing I want to make clear is that this book along with all of Karen Rose books falls under the genre of Romantic Suspense. Now I am a fan of both romance and crime so the mix of the two doesn't bother me at all. For those that want zero romance, you may want to look elsewhere. For those that, like me, quite like that element of the book then get yourselves out and get a copy of her latest release.

Ok, I'm a loyal fan of K.Rose - having read all her books. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy them, but there is a part of me that hopes that her main characters don't always need to have a deep dark secret from their past. That she can lay off a little with the jaw clenching, fisted hands, banked fury etc. We get it, these are decent folk who despite traumatic backgrounds, pull through to stop crazed killers who rack up a body count that usually goes into double digits. I guess it wouldn't be a...more
Who would have thought - US author Karen Rose loves reading vampire novels.
This award-winning crime writer knows all there is to know about who writes which vampire thriller and why one is better than the other.
My question, of course, was what spurs a vampire junkie to write crime novels. Well, it turns out she's also a lover of the hit television series Law & Order and other crime/thriller movies, too. And for her, her best stories start with a "what if I was evil" idea.

Oh dear. Maybe this was one of those books that you either get or don't. Sure if I actually cared about any of the characters I might have something better to say about this novel.
The novel begins clumisily, with our heroine receiving a phone call from her business partner to fill out her back-story ("Hey lady just calling to talk about the past few significant events of your life") The putziness continues as our main lady Paige can't work out whether she is a black-belt, knife and gun toting ba...more

‘No One Left to Tell’ by Karen Rose is a well-crafted mix of suspense thriller mystery and romance. Like the rest of her books, her latest is related to her others and yet it’s very enjoyable alone – I myself have not read any of her other books, though I’ll be keeping an eye out for them in the future.

This book totally ROCKED ME! It grabbed me right from the start and never let me go. There were so many twists and turns and bad guy's that there was never a dull moment.
I really LOVED both the H&h. They were both extremely smart, brave, courageous and all around fantastic characters. I could easily see why they were attracted to either other from the very first and were glad that they...more

Holy Karen Rose! I read my first Rose book last year when the first in the new Baltimore series – You Belong to Me – and the only thing I remember is being blown away. Well, let me say that Rose blew me away once again!

I cannot begin to express how much I adored this book. Rose is one of my auto-buy authors, so it's no surprise that I'd enjoy this book, but I was blown away by it. For those of you who have read Ms. Rose's works before (specifically You Belong to Me ), you'll recognize some of the characters. In this story, we watch as Paige Holden and the hero, State's Attorney Grayson Smith, both come to grips with their ugly pasts. These two have been damaged by their pasts, but still managed to find a way t...more
Karen Rose has done it again. No one Left to Tell is packed with fast moving action and tender romance. This quote from No One Left to Tell fairly well summarizes the plot "Serial child molesters, murderers, case fixers, a cop gone bad,and a mastermind eliminating anyone who gets close to the truth. Makes my head spin.".If you are a fan of the fast paced high adrenaline romantic suspense then this is the book for you.No One Left to Tell is PI Paige Holden and Assistant State Attorney Grayson Smi...more
This is a book that has wealthy people, poor people, a wrongly charged man who has been in jail for 20 years, child molestation and more. Paige (the heroine) tries to solve all the puzzles with the help of Grayson - who actually put the man behind bars years ago - and of course there is a love interest. But................it's up to you to read who and where.
I listened to this as an audiobook and it was a fabulous nail-biting mystery/thriller! I was so impressed that I've recommended it to my husband - even though it has some romance in it!
Paige Holden is a trophy-winning martial arts expert working as a private investigator when she begins to investigate a case for Elena Munoz, whose husband has been in prison for the murder of Crystal Jones, a young college student, for the last 6 years. When Elena's bullet-riddled van crashes right in front of Pa...more

I really enjoy reading Karen Rose's books. Even when I don't love something about them, like in the previous book, I always find myself entertained and I await each of them eagerly.
No One Left to Tell is set in Baltimore, just like the previous book. I've been a fan of Karen Rose novels for about five years, but the last couple books I've read (You Belong to Me and Silent Scream) haven't been home runs for me. That is not the case with No One Left To Tell.
No One Left to Tell is the story of Paige Holden and Grayson Smith. A year earlier, Paige was attacked along with her friend, Thea by Thea's ex husband, resulting in Thea's death. Because the assailants escaped, they returned to Paige's home and shot her. Picking herself up, Paige decided t...more

Once again a great romantic suspense novel by Karen Rose. This is a long book (as many of her books are) and at first all the names are a bit confusing. But after a couple of pages I was absolutely into the story and couldn´t stop reading.

More thorough review to come on my blog, but here I'll say that Rose has written another wild thriller, and like her last book, she added the romance back into it.
There was a little less gore in this one, though just as much murder and mayhem. Rose handles the procedural effectively and efficiently. The romance felt real, albeit incredibly fast. The heroine is a secondary character from a previous Rose novel, but this can be read as a standalone.

I’ve enjoyed Karen Rose’s books for years and this was no exception. While I’m usually all about her heroines, Grayson was the star of this one for me. He was hot, protective, and his core of integrity made him absolutely delicious. When he is threatened with the secrets of his past, he still takes a stand and fights for justice. Paige was a strong heroine from the first page and was perfect for him. I loved that the romantic conflict was concluded around halfway through the book and th...more

I'm a long time fan of romantic thrillers and Karen Rose is one of the best. This was a long book (most of hers are) and I will admit that I inexplicably had trouble getting into it. But once I did (probably me, not Rose), it was rich, complex, filled with terrific characters, tension, and by the end had ramped up the tension and list of potential (and actual) participants in the crimes until my heart was pounding. Seriously. I was particularly pleased by the inclusion of a Down Syndrom characte...more
Complex. Convoluted. Conspiratorial. No One Left to Tell by Karen Rose is all that, and more. When PI Paige Holden, a woman with a painful past, finds herself drawn into a shady world filled with innocent lives ruined and innocent lives taken, she can't ignore their dilemmas.

I have finally finished reading the long awaited 13th instalment by the fabulous Karen Rose. She's one of my favourites.
Paige Holden is our heroine in this book although in my opinion there are a few. Paige moves to Baltimore and is working for Clay Maynard. She's a beginner PI who is trying to prove the innocence of Ramon Munoz, a convicted murderer. ASA Grayson Smith is thorough and the one who was instrumental in putting Ramon behind bars. Ramon's wife and mother approached Paige for help as...more

Very suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Part time investigator, Paige is helping out a woman named Elana who is trying to free her husband from jail for a crime that he didn't commit. Elana sets up a meeting with Paige to give her proof that she has uncovered and during the meet, Elena is killed and Paige is almost killed. This sets up a series of murders and investigations that go deeper and deeper spanning back to a murder 6 years prior. It also brings back several characters...more
This was more like 3.5 stars for me but I will round up. There were a couple parts that dragged for me. At 518 pages I felt like 100 pages could have been trimmed from the book without any impact to the story but I know many of her books are like that. I also didn't find Paige and Grayson's instant connection all that believable. That being said, Karen Rose is an excellent writer with a knack for detail. If you like romantic suspense that is usually somewhat heavier on the suspense/mystery side...more
Paige, a rookie private investigator, suddenly finds herself as a witness to the shooting of her client and an unwelcome TV celebrity status for jumping to her rescue puts her life in danger . The victim was the wife of a convicted killer, which she has been asked to investigate and provide proof he has been wrongly prosecuted. Obtaining some of the probable cause to open the case for investigation again was what got the wife killed and will soon have other killed as well. Unknown to her, a snow...more
As with all Karen Rose novels, the plot flowed well and we're kept guessing until the very end, with a number of twists and sub-characters. However, I repeatedly skipped through large sections of the story that focussed on the love story between the two central characters. I just didn't feel like it was very convincing. The speed and intensity of their relationship felt a little contrived and didn't add anything to the story. While it was still an interesting and engaging read, I've definitely r...more
