Okay, okay... I know I'm not the only author giving myself a five star rating. I had to do it. This book took a whole lot out of me. It is my debut, my baby, and the first of more to come.
I did have a lot of fun writing it. There were times when I was doing the self-editing and was like... Wow... Did I write that? Talk about an emotional roller-coaster. There are great books and then there are books like this that are so unbelievably amazing that they stand out even amongst the greats. A book so good that when you finally turn that last page you feel like it changed a little piece of you and will stay with you forever. I was told how amazing this book was before I even started reading it and I could not agree more! I loved it! My emotions were all over the place while reading it! The plot of In My Dreams was so sad but so amazing! It left me nearly in tears but then it would leave me begging for more! Lizzy hasn't had an easy life. After her father walked out her mother fell apart. Lizzy was forced to grow up faster than any child should.

In My Dreams was an enjoyable read. It was well-paced and it didn't get me bored. I absolutely loved the way the author wrote about Lizzy's feelings. It was wonderfully written and it felt real. Michael and Lizzy's relationship was sweet, maybe a bit too sweet for me, but still, it was quite touching. Also, the author's landscape descriptions are breathtaking. Her writing is very descriptive and I liked it.

High-points: In My Dreams is well-paced, a great thing in any novel. Most of the time, descriptions (especially of landscape) were atmospheric and breath-taking. Liz as a heroine irritated me in the same way that Bella (of Twilight Saga fame) did, so perhaps people who love Bella will also love Liz? That has to be a good thing – there are a lot of Bella lovers out there!

I read the synopsis of every book I purchase. However, that doesn't mean I read the book right away. Many times, I forget what the story is about by the time I start reading it - which was the case when I started reading In My Dreams.
Initial thoughts: I wanted to get to know the relationship existing between Michael and Elizabeth since they were so obviously close. However, tragedy struck and I felt shattered feeling my hopes were dashed.

This book had me lying in my tears (I have to read laying down I'm a weirdo like that.) I did agree with Lizzy though on this one statement "Normal people would have run, but I'd never been so scared in my life. I was one of those irritating people that froze - like in the movies. From the start, you are drawn in to the feelings Lizzy and Michael have for each other. You can feel the hurt and loss that Lizzy has to deal with, and the anger and confusion at the series of events that caused it. Cameo Renae writes a beautiful love story told from a perspective that puts a whole new spin on it. I loved this book, and can't wait to read more by this author!

We immediately get into the action with no time to dwindle, an eerie haze of suspicion taking over. The romance is introduced in her dreams and though we never fully get to experience it alive and well, it's still heartbreaking with so many emotions on big scales. Let me just start off by saying that this novel is a love story. There is no denying that and if you are heading into it thinking there isn’t any, you are highly mistaken. But because it is a love novel, I seemed to have read it in a sort of biased way. Books are the best escape out of reality imaginable. I must confess though, I was unprepared for the amount of emotion this book pulled out of me.
