This appealed to the history buff side of me, even f it was a bit dry on the facts. People who aren't that interested in history will probably find this dull and bland. Boys will most definitely like the detailed descriptions of how Mayan people were sacrificed (all I have to say about it is that it's GROSS.) But I liked the wide variety of topics covered within the book, along with the realization that I wouldn't make it as a Mayan woman. If I wasn't sacrificed in a brutal manner, I'd probably ...more
