Short and sweet: LOVE this series!

Pip and Posy are back at it again! In this edition of the new series from Axel Scheffler they learn that it’s important to use manners and ask before taking someone else’s belongings. Posy decides all she’s ever wanted at that moment is to ride Pip’s very fun scooter, but what she doesn’t do is ask Pip if she can or if he will help her learn to use it. What begins as a careless act ends in the kind forgiveness of a good friend as Pip helps bandage up Posy
Pip rides his scooter and his friend, Posy, decides to take it for a spin without asking! Pip is angry until Posy falls and gets hurt. He takes care of her, she apologizes, and they ride home safely, and slowly, together. (Preschool).

Curriculum Connection: This book is one of a series simulating life as a toddler, the issues that might come up, and how to handle them! Meets ALA 21st century standard 4.1.2: Read widely and fluently to make connections with self, the world, and previous reading.

My son has loved this books since about 10 months old. The story is beautiful. It teaches forgiveness, that it is good to be kind and apologise. The pictures are beautiful and my son loves how colourful they are. There are many interesting things happening in the background of the pictures to talk about which encourages interaction. It is a good length for babies.
A regular picture book converted into a board book with no change to the text is one of my biggest pet peeves. This would be more for an older toddler than a baby. The real audience for this book may be turned off by its format.

Nice bright illustrations and simple text make this a good choice for storytime. Good for "sharing" theme, friendship, toys.
Baby board format created from regular picture book - transition adequate, but better for older toddlers to understand

He moved to England in 1982 to learn English and study illustration at the Bath Academy of Art and then set up home in London. Axel illustrated a number of books for various publishers, and in 1993 Kate suggested him as the illustra
