A cowbug comes to town and Squirt, Shimmer and Bounce decide that they want to help. Sawyer the Ant (the Cowbug) lets them help out and says that working hard and helping each other is just what cowbugs do. However, Ned and Ted are lazy and only think about themselves which causes trouble for Sawyer when the aphids are let loose and Ned and Ted don’t know what to do.

Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends is a cute way to help youngsters the different ways spiders and bugs do things. In this book they learn (in a fun way) how aphids help ants gather food. And as a twist the twin ants that live in Sunny Patch get into their usual mischief and Miss Spider's children lean a helping hand to visiting 'cowbugs' and help save the day!

Strange. I like Miss Spider's Tea Party...but the rest of the series is just strange.

David Kirk is the creator of children's books that follow the character Miss Spider. Before writing books, he made colorful toys that were sold in hand-painted boxes. He was urged to write children's books when his toys caught the interest of a book packager. It wasn't difficult to figure out what he would use as characters in his stories: his daughter, Violet, had a liking for bugs.
