Guilty Pleasures
Gennie's review posted on Guilty Pleasures

As you might gather from the title, Cinderella and the Sheikh, is a modern-day fairy tale, but there’s a twist and no magic fairies, just a gorgeous hottie with LOTS of money. Libby has always wanted the “perfect” love that her parents shared, but being five when her dad died, Libby’s memory might not be totally accurate. Rasyn has been blessed with a life of privilege and even though he lost his parents at a young age, he’s always had the love of his u...more

Libby, the main female character, is one lucky gal! Well to be honest Sheikh Rasyn is lucky to. Both of the character’s different backgrounds make this a great ‘opposites attract’ setting. Everything in the story is charming right down to each other’s fears and desires.

Once I got past drooling over the man on the cover, I couldn’t stop reading. This story kept my eyes wide open. I soaked in every word thinking I would be able to guess the ending and I didn’t which is a HUGE plus in my opinion....more

Sheikh Rasyn is the next in line to rule in Abbas, North Africa. His one goal is to let his uncle know that he is totally unsuitable to be the ruler of his country. Because his uncle refuses to pay heed to his pleas and bargains, Rasyn does the next best thing; find the most unsuitable woman to be the queen of his people and marry her.

Libby Fay works at the Hotel Scheherazade in Manhattan, New York. The very first moment Libby had laid eyes on Sheikh Rasyn had been a cosmic one, one that had bee...more

An interesting and entertaining take on the classic Cinderella story. I particularly enjoyed the attention to detail given to the cultural and socioeconomic differences between Libby and Rasyn. It provided authenticity to the narrative and kept me turning those virtual Kindle pages. The author’s rich setting descriptions provided great visuals for my imagination while also keeping her heroine off-kilter much of the time and thus adding to the dramatic tension.

Thumbs up for the overt nods to the...more

Sheikh Rasyn Al Jabar has a plan that includes waitress Libby Fay, he knows he should feel guilt for what he is about to do, but the fate of his country rests on what he is about to do. His plan is simple, woo Libby into an engagement, take appropriate risks to ensure that she is as unsuitable of a wife to a future King as possible. Rasyn believed that Libby would fall to his feet and be easily swayed, but every chance he gets to ensure her part she foils and he finds himself falling for the com...more

"The story was nothing like what I would have expected when I first picked it up, but I did truly enjoy Cinderella and the Sheikh. Teresa Morgan has a way of drawing you into the story and making you feel like you are actually a part of it. Indeed, this courtesan looks forward to seeing what the author has in store for her next book."

It's been over a year since I've read it, but as I remember this was a cute little story. I finished it in one evening. Libby, a waitress in a high end N.Y. hotel falls for price charming. Raysin, is a sheik who needs a foreign wife to avoid getting stuck on the throne. To persuade Libby to marry him, he has the plan, but she is smarter than him. Along the way he finds himself more attracted to this girl and her different ways of life. All her mishaps in this strange world seem to work out to he...more

Cinderella and the Sheikh

I’m a little indecisive about the rating of this book. It’s a 1001 night style romance, staring a New York City Cinderella called Libby and an Arabian prince. Where in a romance I always enjoy that part the most where you sit on needles and bite your nails for the moment to come when the hero kisses his girl for the first time, I totally missed it in this novel. The first kiss and love scene came after, I don’t know, page ten? That was the moment when I wanted to close t...more

I am kind of on the fence with this book. I gave it four stars because I LOVE any book about a Shiekh but this one left me a little cold. I guess I just didn't feel like he acted all alpha and donminating like most Shiekh books. I just like those you belong to me and I will take you kind of books. I was also very confused as to weather he really loved her or not. I was just kind of left wanting I guess. I really just felt like something was missing. I finished it and would probably try another o...more

This is the second Sheikh story I have read by Teresa Morgan.
4.5 stars

Not only does she have the knack for dominant, aggressive and arrogant Sheikh's but she is a damn good writer too.

I really enjoyed this story.

Libby may have been a little gullible at times - well really, really gullible at times, but I could see a lot of myself in her. She wanted to be loved and although she knew taking off with Rasyn was pretty damn stupid, she kinda, sorta, wanted to follow her heart anyway...or her vagin...more

I received this book from the author, Teresa Morgan, to review for my blog. I'd never read a sheikh romance before -- although I know it's a big subgenre within romance -- but the summary sounded promising.

Libby Fay is a waitress at a fancy hotel in New York City. She keeps noticing a guy in the restaurant where she works, and he's even in the same park when she's on her lunch break. He's Sheikh Rasyn al Jabar, and he needs a wife. He doesn't want to be ruler of his country, Abbas, so to get out...more

A reasonably short read that was easily devoured in a couple of hours, this book is just as described in the title, a Cinderella story, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I found the writing flowed easily and I connected well with the characters.

The story was sweet and romantic, sexy and funny, with tension and angst in all the right places.

Cinderella and the Sheikh was an all round great romantic interlude.

A delightful 4 Star read ;]

Libby is such a beautiful character, I know why the Sheik fell in love with her.
I have rated this endearing story a 5 star. It is a must reread as well as I need to check into more of Teresa Morgans books!

3.5 stars.
Fun take on the the Cinderella storyline. With a bit more character development this would have been a four star read. Will certainly consider reading future offerings from Ms. Morgan.

Sweet love story and I like sheikhs haha

Another sexy and fun Sheikh romance from Teresa Morgan. This one is a bit longer than the other two I've read by this author, which allowed for more layers to the plot and characterisation, making it a very satisfying read.
