As an animal lover I found this book really difficult to read. Although the author did tell a very compelling story that made me want to keep reading, I felt that she might have included an ending that was a bit more realistic. I felt that the protagonist, Justin, was well developed, but I simply do not believe that his problems could be so easily resolved. The good thing about this book was that I am now interested in exploring animal issues.

People who are cruel to animals should just be shot, no questions asked. This book was hard to read at times, the dogs are treated rather badly but it ended on a happier note. this is a book for older readers.

Justin has a soft spot for dogs. When he lands a job with some shady characters who rent security dogs, he is forced to make a very grown up decision. A quick read, lots of action and a good plot.
