A short and concise book on postpartum doula work and her role she plays in supporting families. This was one of the books that I chose to read in my required readings for my certification process. It had several pages of information in the appendix section of books, websites and resources for the new doula and parents along with a section of example scenarios that a postpartum doula may encounter.
Fast read. Good top-level overview for someone considering being a postpartum doula, looking to support someone after birth, or someone in training to be a postpartum doula. Gives a sense of some of the skills one needs to study in more depth elsewhere. Includes good reference list for future reading.
