Historians have their way of being able to provide a more full and complete story behind well known historical figures and events. This book offers a gentle, yet interesting, correction to public view of cowboys. It is a short book with enough pictures to keep a young child entertained yet enough quick facts to keep the attention of a teen or adult audience.

Excellent nonfiction book; nominally published for children, but seriously, this could read and enjoyed by anyone of any age who has an interest in the Wild West. The truth about cowboys!
