Cowboys, a little naked time, and lot of construction fun.
This story reeled me in quickly. The writing is tight and the story line is exciting. The characters don't just fall madly in love moments after of meeting. There's a chase. There's a peacock dance of sorts that has them both trying to decide if it's worth trying to have a something between them. And being able to see the characters from the first book, Tyler, I felt like I was...more

Hmmm….the three Garahan Boys of Pleasure, Texas - always gentlemen…willing to help out women in distress…..gotta love it!
Tyler is a surefire winner from CH Admirand. Gotta love those Garahan boys!!!! When they agree to do something and shake on it, they do not go back on their word even if the "something" is not exactly what they presumed it to be. After applying for a second job, to help keep the Garahan Ranch from foreclosure, Tyler falls for Emily L...more

In the second book, Dylan, the quietest of the Garahan brothers agrees to take over for Tyler, who has had a nasty run in with a bull at the end of the previous book. In one of Dylan’s early performances he is asked to lasso a blindfolded brunette celebrating her birthday, but when the blindfold comes off he is astonished to find a glaring pair of emerald eyes. The undertones of vulnerability in those same peep...more

Very good book. I really liked Dylan and how hard he worked to help keep their ranch going. He filled in as a stripper at the Lucky Star when his brother Tyler was hurt. He works as a carpenter to try to bring in some needed cash. Ronnie arranges to cook for Dylan and his brothers in exchange for him working on her shop. I liked Ronnie also. She was determined not to let the people who destroyed her shop win. They had an immediate attraction to each other, but Ronnie fought it. She had a bad exp...more
In an effort to save the Texas ranch owned by his family for decades, Dylan Garahan works part-time at a strip club. His role at the Lucky Star is to lasso the birthday girl and reel her in. Kissing her isn’t part of the job, but when he lassos a blindfolded Italian beauty from New Jersey, he simply can’t resist molding her body to his own and sneaking a taste.Ronnie DelVecchio’s lingerie and fragrant oil shop has been vandalized so badly that she has to close it until it’s repaired. While Dylan is book 2 in The Secret Life of Cowboys series by CH Admirand, I was not actually lost while reading this book. I was able to catch on to the story and the scenarios pretty quickly. Each book is about a separate couple, so reading the books out of order did not throw me.
In Dylan, Ronnie is lassoed into a cowboy’s arms, and she can’t decide if she wants to stay or leave. Ronnie is new to town, she owns a lingerie shop that had been broken into. She is trying to put her...more

Dylan is the 2nd book from C H Admirand Secret Life of Cowboys. Dylan was working at the Lucky Star strip club until they could find a replacement for him. During his act he lassoed a birthday girl. First look into her emerald green eyes when he pulls her on stage he wanted her. There was something about her that he was drawn to but Ronnie was having mixed emotions about her body responses to him and that was getting her worried. You see Ronnie is from the east coast and had a bad relationship s...more
CH Admirand delivers a second helping from her THE SECRET LIFE OF COWBOYS series with DYLAN – the next Garahan brother to step up at the Lucky Star Club to save the family ranch. The results – a lassoed filly, instant attraction, and sizzling fun in this contemporary Western romance.
CH writes real men – they work hard, play hard, and fall hard in love. I see a bit of CH in her heroine – a transplant from New Jersey! But Ronnie proves that this Jersey girl is more than a partygoer from the shore...more

Dylan, the second book in the "Secret Life of Cowboys" trilogy, takes off pretty much from where Tyler ended. Emily and Tyler are now living together at the Circle C Ranch in Pleasure, Texas. Jessie is dealing with his pretty constant female issues and Dylan is single. Tyler no longer works at the Lucky Star, but as this book begins, we find our middle Garahan brother strutting his stuff for the ladies at the strip club as a favor to Jolene Langley, Emily's cousin and the owner of the Lucky Star...more
I was lucky enough to receive an e-ARC copy of this book - I didn't know was the 2nd book to the series - but if Tyler's story is even half as good as Dylan's, I'm anxious to start on it!
I just got the go ahead from the author to post my review on this book - so here it goes :)
What an Awesome Story! I LOVE the Cowboy way - and these guys are actual hard working, strong willed Working Ranchers! They grew up with the hard life's work, and a grandfather's wise words to keep them in line.

So much better than the first book. Partly because I really could identify with Ronnie a displaced city girl as I am what they call a “damn yankee” a northerner who moved south and stayed. I can relate to the culture clashes between Ronnie and Dylan. Also because this book flowed much better. I don’t know whether it was the author or the editor but this book was much less choppy than Tyler. I wasn’t doing the whiplash thing saying what the he...more

I normally don't read western romances but I'm ever so glad I did in this case. Gonna hunt down book one about Tyler next as they boys are totally hawt! It was such a treat to read such a sensual story with high emotions and even higher heat.
Ronnie is a very attractive young lady from the East Coast who has decided that a change of scenario and of life in general is a major must need after dumping her cheating ex. Starting over financially and geographically is the easy part but when she comes t...more

I had a really hard time liking this book. The first in the series, Tyler, was better than this one. It was just an OK read for me. Not much really happens in it. Both Dylan and Ronnie spend way too much time thinking about each other. When they are together, they are either fighting or having sex. When exactly did they get to know each other? As in the first book, I felt like most of the characters over-reacted to a lot of the situations. Everyone seems to angry in these books. The ending was k...more
I read this right after reading Tyler and gotta tell ya, I liked this one much better. This book was the perfect amount of humor, drama and good old-fashion lovin'. The two MCs were the perfect fit for each other. Dylan knew exactly what he wanted when he saw Ronnie and after their first meeting he knew she was worth the trouble to get to know. All Ronnie saw was a sexy cowboy who was very confident of his ability to snap her up whether she wanted it or not. Thankfully, she decides that yes, she...more
I could not wait to finish the book I was reading before this book because I am a sucker for Cowboy type books. At first I thought this was going to be one of those book where the cowboy has sex the second he meets the girl but boy was I so wrong! Dylan was a very enjoyable read there was so much sexual tension between Dylan and Ronnie it was not even funny! I LOVE the ending of this book , it did not leave you hanging to bad it actually wrapped up just the way I like my books to. As usual I do...more
First Tyler and now Dylan, I do not know how much more a girl can take, but I am ready to find out. Dylan is your typical middle child, with attitude to spare, but he has so met his match with Ronnie. Their verbal sparring is like so much foreplay, and it gets you in the mood to only want more. If Jesse is anything like his older brothers we are in for another treat, and I cannot wait to see the woman willing to take him on.

Wonderful book.
I enjoyed the second book in the series. Dylan is helping his brothers with the family farm and picking up where Tyler left off with the "job" at the bar in town.
Meeting feisty Ronnie on her birthday starts him down a path that they both fight and yet enjoy.
Great story with the chemistry working between the two. Looking forward to more.

Wow, so incredibly awful for the first time in a LONG time I couldn't finish a book. This was just bad - the language ('Texas cowboy' where everyone is darlin EVERY OTHER WORD, etc.), the story, the jumping around in the story constantly.... so sad.
Note that I'm putting the date that I stopped reading this as the date I didn't finish this book.

An amazing continuation from the first book. Dylan, the second brother has to take Tylers place at the Lucky Star after he gets hurt, and then helps repair Ronnie's shop. A great book, not as great as the first, but I'm like that in any series I read. The first is always the best, but Dylan gets the woman he wants, and it certinaly made me giddy to want to read the third and final book of the series, Jesse.

Southern born... Northern bred
I was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but alas, my parents moved back to northern New Jersey where I grew up, which if you’ve met me would explain a lot. I’ve always had my nose in a book, have traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word.
