New adventure since they're promise to meet Cami and Jinbei back to Fish-Man Island before Ace's death. As always they journey never been smooth. I'm kinda wanna see their new power! Maybe soon? BUT their clownish attitude is never changed. Lol.

Meet new enemies. Who are they? I'm assumed they will be connected with Fish-Man Island!

One Piece is always such a great read, though I just remembered that I actually never finished the Fishman Island Arc! I actually skipped it after missing the anime episodes (since I use to only read or just watch it) though better late then never!

I must say that I'm really enjoying this arc already, one of the things I love about One Piece in general is how creative Oda is with his Arcs and the One Piece story and characters. and Fishman Island, the art, the style of it, is just wonderful! Also

The Straw Hats had finally reached Fishman Island but things aren't what they seem. With a conspiracy going on and the hatred of the fishman against the humans there is soon to be a war. Leading the revolution is led by the captain of the New Fishman Pirates, Hordy Jones.

I really the use of the Davy Jones myth in this volume and the introduction to Big Mam one of the yonko who had taken over the island after Whitebeard's death.

I really wasn't sure, what to rate this vol. If a 2 or 3. Anyways, after a long break, I have finally started to read One Piece once again. And I have to say, this vol I felt was rather slow to kick off. Though there was a feel of adventure, so people who love that will surely like this vol. I honestly felt that this vol was boring for the most part, say for some exciting scenes and moments.

As usual, I don't do reviews of manga, it's too much effort, and this is really only here as notes to myself.

- Once again, so glad that the Mugiwara are back in business. Their sheer interaction with each other was missed throughout the epic Whitebeard War.

- This is where a new adventure begins, though I feel like this is still somewhat in the halfway stage, because the SHs are still getting their feet wet after their two-year training. You know, testing the waters of the New World (hee).

- We do

The Fishman Island arc is about getting two things done: re-introducing us to the Straw Hats as a team and showing off some of their new abilities, and also using One Piece to present a story about racism and intolerance. These are, respectively, necessary and noble goals. Neither of them really come off.

The problem with the racism side of the storyline isn't obvious for a couple of volumes, but the problem with Fishman Island as a big comeback storyline is more apparent. Giving a nine-man team

The story behind what happened to mermaids and fish-men in the fish-man island.
Luffy will destroy the island soon.

Volume begins at chapter 604: Into the Depths!
After the crew reunites, they make their decent towards Mermaid Island. Coincidentally all pirates have to go through this island on the Grand Line to get to the New World. Not even a few pages in, and Luffy and the gang are already being harassed by a crew of rookies. Funny thing is that Moh-moo is pulling their ship. The great sea cow hasn't forgotten the crew that beat the Arlong pirates, and hightails it leaving behind the rookie captain.

mo ngasih bintang empat, tapiiiii typo-nya banyak banget. trus sama ga konsisten, si brook ada yg pake aku ada yang pake saya di panel yang bersebelahan lagi. ga enak dibacanya.

masih mikir kenapa zori... eh zoro... manggil sanji kappa mesum ya? okay, the love cook is really perverted, tapi kan dipanggil gitu jadi mirip si sha goyjo di saiyuki yang suka dipanggil erogappa.

A decent continuation of the story following the events of Marineford. It can't reach the highs of said event, but it doesn't have to honestly. The story left behind some very big moments and now it's time for the heroes to recuperate, catch up and get back into the swing of things.
Great world building moments in this one.

The Straw Hat Pirates make their way to Fish Man Island, catch-up with old friends, and, unsurprisingly, get themselves into trouble. Cute and forgettable. Not the best outing by any stretch, but it passes the time.
