From cybersex partners to hackers gone awry, each of McCarthy’s three fiery tales involve couples who interact with computers and find love in the process. In “Hard Drive,” Kindra is mortified when her coworker and secret crush, Mack, catches her cavorting online with her cybersex lover. But when Mack offers to show her the benefits of love the old-fashioned way, Kindra re ...more

I like Erin McCarthy's humorous and sexy writing, but this anthology was a bit disappointing. The 3 novellas in this book aren't connected in any way: you can read them all in any order you choose, or read only one (or two) as you please.

Hard Drive (3 stars)
Mack Stone and Kindra Hill are coworkers who have been secretly lusting after each other for about a year. When he catches her reading a dirty e-mail and she boldly tells him that she prefers cybersex to the real thing, he vows he can chang

"4.5 stars overall" Hard Drive – I'm beginning to wonder if Erin McCarthy writes better short stories than full-length novels. So far her novels have been rather hit and miss with me, but Hard Drive is the second novella in a row that I've read by her which I thought was a winner. It was a really sweet and sexy story that was a very enjoyable read.

Hard Drive is less than 100 pages, and because of its brevity, the hero and heroine don't get a lot of backstory. They've wo

This anthology of three stories by Erin McCarthy was fun to read! I enjoyed all three stories, and liked the characters in them, as well as the storylines.

My favorite of the three was the last story, "User Friendly." This one was the story of two close friends, Haley and Ethan, whose relationship undergoes a chance from friendship to romance.

The first story, "Hard Drive," finds coworkers Mack and Kindra deciding to have sex after he finds that she has been having sexy chats online with a man she

Silly sexy fun? That's pretty much Bad Boys Online. It's a hot little collection of novellas all centered around online tech of some sort. And oh it was a good time! I really enjoyed each of the three stories as long time friends or coworkers finally got the chance to hook up with the people they've been smitten with or totally in love with for ages. They're each quick stories but nicely fleshed out and since they start with the characters already knowing each other they don't feel like they're ...more

I'll review each story separately

Hard Drive I liked the best of the three. I thought the set up worked well and didn't feel like McCarthy was pigeon holing Mack or Kindra into a stereotype to fit the needs of the story. If at times I was hard pressed to remember Kindra's inexperience in reality wasn't a put-on to make Mack sweat, I ignored it in favor of Mack's reaction at the end.

User Friendly, aside from the fact that Evan is my idea of an ideal mate, this story didn't interest me overmuch. Ha

This is one of the first books I read by Erin McCarthy. When I saw it was being released with a new cover I knew I had to re-read it. I love that the book wasn't changed like so many others in order to keep up with the changing technology. There is something to be said about HOT emails!

This definitely another must read for any Erin McCarthy fans as well as individuals who have not yet read any of her books! You don't know what you are missing until you have read one. Once you read one you can't

Three sizzling stories by one good author.

Series: Bowling Friends # 1

This was so very disappointing read by Erin McCarthy. I usually love reading books by Ms. McCarthy for her humor, but this was bad. The first story, Hard Drive is the story that is part of the series of Bowling Friends. There was some extreme un-believability, some really ridiculous situation, and I rarely saw a connection between the hero and the heroine. I am kind of sad that this book costed me $3.99 because I don’t think it is worth it. The

story 1 - hard drive... she's shy, she's reserved, she thinks of herself as merely average... he's good looking, he's dating regularly, he's been noticing her - when she doesn't notice him watching - that she rolls her eyes, that she has a gorgeous smile, and her hair, if let down, would be really silky...

Kindra and Mack... Kindra has been sublimating her sexualality via a safe email 'partner', and one day, Mack catches her - reading the email over her shoulder... and he offers to show her in 12

Hard Drive

Kindra is fed up with physical relationships with men, they don't do a thing for her except maybe give her a headache. She decides that an online sexy relationship is less messy but gets caught reading a sexy email from her online relationship by the office hunk, Mack, who Kindra has had a crush on for quite some time. He doesn't get the appeal of online sex over real sex, seeing this as his chance to finally be with Kindra, Mack challenges her to let him prove the real thing is better

These bad boys give a whole new meaning to on-site tech support…

Mack Stone can’t believe he’s just walked in on his co-worker Kindra Hill exchanging sexy emails with a total stranger. Defending her naughty online affair, Kindra claims to prefer the impersonal touch to the complication of a relationship. That’s enough to make Mack issue a challenge of his own: He wants her to grant him twelve nonstop hours to turn every erotic e-mail into a hot reality and prove that in love and pleasur

I read this book in 2003 when it came out and I loved it just as much now in 2014! Super hot! Super Sexy, Super funny, don't walk to the store or computer run and enjoy a timeless novel by a great author!

'Hard drive' Mack and Kindra are co-workers and although they both admire each other from a distance they have never brought up the attraction, until one day Mack sees something he cannot ignore! Mack catches Kindra talking dirty online and lets her know in no uncertain terms that the real thing

4 stars, 3 stars and 1 star for three stories in this book.

4 stars for USER FRIENDLY.
Halley is caterer with a website. Hackers put a naked body under her head on the website. She has been best friends with Evan for years, but avoided him for several months due to sexual feelings for him. She goes to his home to ask him to fix her website. He has wanted her for months as well. They kiss, but she pretends it was just a comfort & leaves. She returns later and they finally get together.

As my very first Erin McCarthy book read I must say I loved her style and sense of humor enough to read other books by her. But as this is a compilation of three short stories I will break it down.

I loved "Hard Drive" giving it *****

I loved this story. I find Mack smooth and charming. Kindra is awkward, but not so much that it throws the book off. It moves fast enough to keep me interested. The two had some serious chemistry, which read hot to me. And I love the idea of written word coming to li
Okay, so far I've only read one of the three short stories. And usually I don't like short stories much. And the ending of the first short story was SILLY. But for once I actually found myself...liking the length. It was a quick read, which I could squeeze in between all my life happenings and finish in one day. There was no real obstacle in the relationship. It happened fast, it was pretty hawt, but no eyebrows were set on fire. (I did fall asleep reading it in the middle of the day ...more
I haven't gotten into Erin McCarthy yet. She doesn't stand out to me at all. Not that her writing is bad by any means. Her stories are just sort of static. Or at least, these ones were.

Sorry to ruin it for you buw why did EVERY story end with a proposal? Is it not right to have hot, sweaty, and satisfying sex unless it's with your intended. Every proposal (except maybe possibly the last if you wanted to stretch it) seemed to come out of no where! Totally rushed.

Now that I've thought this through

This is a smoking hot collection of romances that all revolve around the internet.

In Hard Drive Mack makes a deal with Kindra that he can prove within a 12 hour period that one on one sex is a lot hotter than cyber sex any day. Is Kindra up for the challenge?

In Press Any Key Jared Kincaid is trying anything that he can to stay away from his office worker Candy because all he does is fantasize about making love to her and he learned the hard way that office hookups don't work. Candy on the other

The fabulous Erin McCarthy is re-releaseing one of her anthologies, Bad Boys Online. Let me tell you - this may be an oldie, but it is a goodie! Three Erin McCarthy stories all in one. I first read this book about a decade ago, and it is the book that actually hooked me into reading everything Erin has written (yes, I mean everything - I have a bin of books in my basement to prove it). Three fun reads that involve, yes you guessed it, social media. My favorite of the three is “User Friendly” - I ...more

Bad Boys Online was a great fun and flirty romance read. I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved that the book was made up of three short stories that relate around either office romance or people they have known for a while that are finally willing to take the step to moving towards a relationship or hooking up,

The stories were quick and fast reads that you could sit down and read in a couple of hour setting. I loved that when Erin decided to re-release this book that she did not change any

Bad Boys Online is a fun anthology of erotica. It's a re-issue but the themes are timeless so even though time has past and technology has advanced, the stories are still enjoyable. The first story focuses on cybersex and two co-workers. Mack shows Kindra how real sex is better than cybersex. The story manages to have a sweet ending despite the super spicy content of the majority of the story.

Intimacy is a theme for all three stories. In the second story, “Press Any Key”, two co-workers go to fo

Bad Boys Online is a book consisting of 3 novellas each a fast, fun, steamy read. Each story establishes the main characters having known each other and been friends for an extended period of time, 10 years as best friends in one case. The thing about bad boy books is the stories are often so implausible, you just turn off your brain & enjoy. That's the case here.

All these stories are by Erin McCarthy, whom I usually like as an author.

Hard Drive is the first of the "bowling friends" series of short stories. This is Kindra's story. It's a 3 star. As usual, the sex moves way too fast & it's "marry me" way too soon. Like I said though, suspend your disbelief & it's tolerable. I really hate it when people waste food
Hard Drive
Kindra is a mostly shy wallflower, while Mack is the ultimate office playboy. But, when Mack finds Kindra reading a sexy email from her cybersex partner, he can't help feeling surprised (and aroused) about Kindra. He asks for 12 hours to prove that the real thing is much better. After lusting after Mack for the past year, 12 hours seem to be a nice change, except, what if what she feels for him is more than just lust. What if it's love?

I understand that for a short story, there is rea

It took me a lot more weeks to finish this book, though the stories were short.
Well it was really hard to read. Well for me O.O

I actually don't know how to rate it since ,first, it's not my type of book and ,second, there's barely a story at all, it was just all of 'that'.

But I congratulate the author for successfully described the actions, cause I shivered having those ideas in my head. And that means that Author did a great job on that.

Sometimes the classics never go away and every once in awhile I'll pull one off my bookshelf that I haven't reread in awhile. That was the case in Erin McCarthy's Bad Boys Online. I love the whole Bad Boy's series and this one by Erin was actually the first book I had ever read by her and I was an instant fan right from the get go and I think at the time this was Erins debut novel.

Bad Boys Online is funny and sexy at the same time. Erin writes all three novella's in this book. In Hard Drive you

I actually enjoyed this book a lot, the best of the three stories was the first one, in my opinion, but I enjoyed all of them.

I gave 3 stars, but it's more like almost 4. As much as I enjoyed the sexual tension that was in the book, it wasn't with a deep story or something to relate to at all, it had no depth, the situations were not realistic. That's why I gave 3 stars instead of 4, but I must say that I liked the book, it's a fun, fast and easy book to read. It's not a bad thing, I actually li
I'm not too fond of short stories because they tend to not have much build up to the romance/relationship—these stories didn't contradict this. While they were entertaining and quickly read, these novellas weren't my favorite because I didn't feel like I got to really know the characters and then, before I knew it, BAM, they're in love.

Out of the three I enjoyed the last novella User Friendly the most. The best friends to lovers story felt like the characters actually knew each other and it wasn
