Fired from The New York Times, Gennie Gastineau is now a reporter for a small town newspaper in Wyoming. She feels the need for redemption and thinks she just may find it with her new story. She's on the trail of a mysterious mountain woman, Graham Sheridan, who's remained isolated for over twenty years. She can't really remember where or when she first heard of her, but Gennie's determined to track her down for the story, even if it means she has to lie and trespass to get it.

My first

Many many years ago this book was my first lesbian fiction book I ever read. I never did a review of the book. I really loved the storyline of a woman lost and a woman that who has never loved. Watching them come together is unbelievable. The banner between the two women was funny. I would recommend this book.

Its unusual, to say the least. Got lost in the beginning, still dont get some of the parts. I dont really appreciate the whole back and forth story-telling/flashbacks, the intention was unclear, dont follow the story at some point.

I dont care much about the whole evil twin, Omega. The part where Omega came in, was a

I've always been lukewarm about Kate's popular detective series, but I love her vampire series and adore her standalone romances. I loved this one, too. Being a career journalist, I found the backstory on her journalist character a bit of a stretch, but didn't mind it because I loved the romance and setting. When it comes to romance novels, my favorite genre, I have a handful of authors I'll buy even without reading the cover blurb. Kate is one of them. This one is definitely on my "read again" ...more

The story took a LONG time to really get going, and was rambling at times with details that didn't quite make sense. When the"villain" is finally introduced, they are just so over the top and scenery-chewing.
